"Something's wrong."
Jinbe's expression turned extremely grim. At first, his whole body had merely felt hot, but now he felt excruciating pain as though he were being scorched by blazing flames. This sudden change made his heart tighten, and the captain's words flashed through his mind: "That guy specializes in developing biochemical weapons. You must be careful when fighting him!"
Yet despite being wary, Jinbe had still failed to avoid being hit completely. He could not help regretting his carelessness. Why had he not been more cautious?
Just then, Shiryu noticed that something was wrong with Jinbe and hurried over, asking with concern, "Jinbe, what's wrong?" Seeing this, Jinbe quickly waved him away and shouted anxiously, "Don't come closer! I think I've been hit by one of his biochemical weapons. The captain said the biochemical weapons he develops generally have terrifying infectiousness."
Hearing Jinbe's words, Shiryu stopped abruptly as though he had been frozen in place, as if his feet had taken root. He did not dare move even half a step forward. His heartbeat suddenly accelerated, a thin layer of sweat appearing on his forehead as he stared at Jinbe, silently worrying for him.
Yet even from so far away, Shiryu could tell that Jinbe was in terrible condition. His face was pale as paper, veins bulged across his forehead, and his lips had lost all color. He looked to be in immense pain. Shiryu groaned inwardly. He truly could not understand what method Queen had used to leave Jinbe in such a miserable state.
Shiryu looked at Queen again, and this time, his gaze had changed. The contempt he had once held for Queen had vanished without a trace, replaced by deep wariness and apprehension. He finally realized that this seemingly insignificant fellow was hiding his true capabilities.
