The Calm Before the Storm

Most of the time,

the storm was merely brewing in silence,

yet it had never truly ceased.

This sea never lacked heroes, and naturally, it never lacked danger. Given the chance, the World Government would never let things go. Lin Yan had understood that from the very beginning.

They had delayed until he returned without making a move, but if they came now, they would simply be courting death!

Lin Yan had absolute confidence in that.

"By the way, Tiger, what happened after the incident at Mary Geoise?"

Lin Yan smiled meaningfully, then turned to Fisher Tiger and asked.

"Not a word was mentioned."

Fisher Tiger's answer was equally straightforward.

"After you left, Brother Lin, the World Government only announced that I had freed the slaves. They never mentioned you at all. I somehow became a hero without even knowing why."

Fisher Tiger laughed heartily.

As someone who had personally experienced that event, Fisher Tiger knew very well that without Lin Yan standing before him, he could never have become any sort of hero.

It would have been a blessing if he had not suffered endlessly at Mary Geoise.

Of course, Fisher Tiger had no way of knowing that even without Lin Yan, he would climb Mary Geoise several years later to rescue slaves.

Nor did he know that Lin Yan had killed Celestial Dragons.

Otherwise, how could Fisher Tiger possibly remain so calm?

Lin Yan had no intention of explaining, either. The World Government and he had long since become irreconcilable enemies. Explaining everything now would serve no purpose.

Sooner or later, every last one of those scum would die!

"Anyway, gather everyone first. If I'm not mistaken, this place won't remain peaceful for much longer."

Lin Yan narrowed his eyes as he spoke to Fisher Tiger.

"That's true."
