Yuan Tian "Trains His Troops" (Part One)

Yuan Tian had kept the weaker members of the Star Clan out of the fight not only because their cultivation was low, but also because they had so little actual combat experience. Sending them into battle would have been sending them to their deaths. They simply were not suited to the fighting earlier; it had been far too dangerous. Had those Star Clan members joined the battle from the start, Yuan Tian's side would have looked much larger, but they would not have made any real difference.

Once they entered the fray, it probably would not have taken long for them to suffer heavy casualties—or even be wiped out altogether.

Now things were different. Yuan Tian and his companions had killed all the Qilin Clan experts at the Great Luo Realm and above. That left Yuan Tian, the Twelve Heavenly Guards, and even experts such as the Star Clan's Star Lords free to look after the weaker members, including those still in Star Heaven.

So Yuan Tian prepared to summon the remaining Star Clan members for some "troop training." This was an exceptionally rare opportunity. Once it passed, another might never come along. He had to make the most of it.

Using a hundred thousand enemies to "train" ten thousand troops sounded utterly insane. Yuan Tian felt that its very madness was what made it interesting and rewarding. Sometimes, it even meant greater gains.

He summoned a Star General and ordered him to return to Star Heaven immediately and gather all the remaining Star Clan members. Yuan Tian intended to give them a thorough "training."

The Star General he summoned left quickly and returned just as quickly. He did not come back alone, however, but brought nearly ten thousand people with him.
