Over the Eastern Sea, a white cloud tinged with green drifted slowly along. There seemed to be someone on the cloud as well. That was right—our protagonist, Yuan Tian.
Yuan Tian had finally set aside the matters on Penglai Island for the time being and prepared to "march" toward the Primordial Continent. As someone reincarnated into the Primordial Wilderness, how could he not visit the Primordial Continent? What would be the point of reincarnation otherwise? He might as well have stayed a shut-in, without having to worry about his own safety.
Yuan Tian lay atop the cloud. Riding clouds was actually a minor divine ability, one that basically anyone at the Heavenly Immortal level or above could use. Yet few people in the Primordial Wilderness rode clouds, because clouds had terribly low defenses. One careless moment, and someone could destroy them. Wasn't that far too dangerous? They were also slow as death, terribly unsuitable for travel.
Yuan Tian did not have so many concerns when riding a cloud. Slow? Come on, he was out here to "gain experience." If he moved too fast, what would be the point of gaining experience? Then again, was this really how one gained experience—lying on a cloud?
As for clouds having poor defenses and being easily attacked, Yuan Tian feared that even less. Leaving aside his mana, the strength of his physical body alone was already comparable to a mid-grade innate spiritual treasure. In the current Primordial Wilderness, how many people could compare to Yuan Tian purely in terms of physical strength? Once an attacker used mana, Yuan Tian could basically detect it beforehand. Thus, he remained quite carefree.
Seeing the boundless sea, Yuan Tian could not help but feel poetic. "Ah, sea, oh sea, ah..." He went "ah" for ages, yet nothing else came out. Ah my ass!
Fortunately, no one was nearby. Otherwise, Yuan Tian would have utterly disgraced all reincarnators.
His poetic mood was gone, but looking at the blue sky and emerald sea was still pleasant. Back on Earth, most industrial cities could no longer see skies this blue. Nor was it easy to see seas this green. When it came to the best natural environment, it still had to be the world of the Primordial Wilderness.
Yuan Tian suddenly sensed lightning and thunder clashing a million li ahead. Someone was probably undergoing tribulation. He did not think much of it; after all, this tribulation lightning was far smaller than his own had been. Yuan Tian had no interest in it at all and continued leisurely "drifting" forward on his cloud.
"Ah, the sea! LZ has finally taken human form!" A thunderous roar suddenly rang beside Yuan Tian's ear, startling him badly. Who was that? Did he have no public decency? Didn't he know there was a kind of pollution called "noise"? Who shouted like that? Yuan Tian had unknowingly arrived before the tribulation-crosser. The great roar had come from the "person" who had successfully crossed the tribulation and transformed into human form—a muscular giant of around twenty, clad in green armor. With that physique, he could absolutely compete in a bodybuilding contest and take the championship in one stroke.
"Hey, you, whoever you are! Yeah, you—the idiot sitting in the sky! Hand over the treasures on you, now, or else, heh heh..." Before Yuan Tian could say anything, a burly man rushed over and spouted nonsense at him.
"What? You're robbing me?" So this "dumbass" before him had come to rob him. He was only a Primordial Unity Golden Immortal, yet he dared rob him? Was there some mistake? If he let himself get robbed by this guy, how was he supposed to keep showing his face?
"Nonsense. Didn't you hear what I said? I'll only say it once: hand over your treasures, or else, heh heh, I'll make you regret it." The burly man spoke arrogantly. Of course, the "dumbass" before him was not truly a dumbass. He had thought it through before robbing Yuan Tian. Anyone in the Primordial Wilderness who rode a cloud this slowly could not have much cultivation. Although he did not know Yuan Tian's cultivation level, he instinctively assumed Yuan Tian possessed some treasure that concealed it. If he did not rob someone like this, then who should he rob? As the saying went, a horse did not grow fat without night grass, and a man did not grow rich without windfalls. Life in the Primordial Wilderness was not easy either; not everyone had good treasures.
Now that he had finally encountered one, could he give up so easily? Of course not. Giving up would invite heaven's thunder and earth's lightning—though he had just been struck by lightning himself. "Fuck, is there some mistake here? Do I look like someone easy to bully? Do I? Doesn't seem like it, right?" Yuan Tian was unhappy—extremely unhappy. On his first trip to gain experience in the Primordial Wilderness, he had encountered a robber. How could that make him happy? Yuan Tian wanted to know what gave this fellow the right to be so arrogant, so he used the innate divine ability he had never used before: Star Illusion Extinction Eye. The Star Illusion Extinction Eye could not only see through the essence of illusion formations; it could also see the origins of anyone whose cultivation was not higher than his own. "A crab. No wonder he's so arrogant—he belongs to the crab clan. Oh, no, that's wrong. He was originally a crab that took human form." Crabs were practically synonymous with running rampant, brandishing claws and fangs, and throwing their weight around. Yuan Tian understood the fellow's arrogance. It was simply in his nature.
Bang! Understanding was one thing, but Yuan Tian was still unhappy, and the consequences were serious. Thus, the burly man, who possessed the cultivation of a Primordial Unity Golden Immortal and could be considered a minor expert in the Primordial Wilderness, met a tragic end. Yuan Tian kicked him down with a single foot, sending monstrous waves soaring across the sea.
"Don't tell me he's finished? It shouldn't be that serious, right? He's still a minor expert at the Primordial Unity Golden Immortal level. Besides, I didn't even use one-thousandth of my strength." After waiting for quite some time without seeing any movement from the sea, Yuan Tian could not help muttering to himself.
In truth, although Yuan Tian had used only one-thousandth of his strength, he had failed to consider what level of strength he himself possessed. One-thousandth of his power alone already produced an attack comparable to a Primordial Unity Golden Immortal. The burly man had just finished crossing his heavenly tribulation and had not been prepared. On top of that, he was only a Primordial Unity Golden Immortal. After taking a blow like that from Yuan Tian, how could he possibly be fine?
With Yuan Tian's strength, a sweep of his divine sense was enough to reveal the burly man's current condition. His body had suffered some injuries, but they were not serious, much less life-threatening. He had merely been struck so suddenly that his body had yet to recover. Since the burly man was fine, Yuan Tian did not intend to bother with him anymore. Though the man had tried to rob him, he had not succeeded, and Yuan Tian had already given him a "beating." Yuan Tian decided to magnanimously let him go. His anger had already been vented, so there was no need to wait around for that "crab" playing dead. It was better to continue gaining experience.
Just as Yuan Tian was preparing to leave, the calm sea finally stirred. The seawater slowly parted, and the waves gradually spread to either side and rose higher. At the very crest of the waves stood a person. Wasn't it the burly man who had been "playing dead" in the sea just now? He had recovered rather quickly.
"Hmm, this scene feels familiar. Where have I seen it before?" What nonsense—of course it felt familiar. In the mythological dramas from his previous life, the sea race always made its entrance like this. The only difference was that he had seen it on television before, while now it was happening for real, which was why the scene felt so familiar to Yuan Tian.
"What's this guy making such a huge fuss for? Don't tell me he wants to regain his face?" Seeing the burly man act like this, Yuan Tian could not help feeling annoyed.
