Watching from the Sidelines (Nine)

As it turned out, Star Demon God and Daoist Yangliu finally stopped running and charged "without looking back" into battle against two or three hundred Primordial Chaos Demon Gods.

Yuan Tian could hardly have been happier with the outcome. Wasn't this the chance he had been waiting for? It wasn't as though he had never seen Primordial Chaos Demon Gods fight before, but this was a little different from anything he had seen.

For one thing, Star Demon God and Daoist Yangliu both ranked among the top ten Primordial Chaos Demon Gods. Seeing two of the top ten in the same battle was rare enough. And the three strongest among their two or three hundred opponents were probably close to the top ten themselves. Most importantly, Yuan Tian had never seen two Primordial Chaos Demon Gods take on two or three hundred others. A battle like this was truly hard to come by.

The Primordial Chaos Demon Gods did not "disappoint" Yuan Tian. One after another, they brought their strength and fighting prowess to bear, and Yuan Tian watched with relish. At some point, the fellow had even conjured up a comfortable sofa. He lay sprawled on it as he watched, looking altogether too "at ease."

Oh, and there was one more thing: he held a Gourd in his hand, the one he used to carry wine. Whenever the fight got especially good, he took a couple of swigs. He was enjoying himself immensely.

While Star Demon God and Daoist Yangliu fought for their lives, Yuan Tian sat off to the side, enjoying the show and "stealing lessons" from it. Where else could he find a day like this?
