Fang Yun straightened his body and shot into the air like an arrow.
His ascent grew slower and slower. Fang Yun looked up at the Dragon Gate, feeling as though just one more gentle push would carry him over this first gate.
Fang Yun reached the apex of his ascent, hung in the air for an instant, then began to fall.
He lowered his head and surveyed the scene below. His field of vision was vast, and heaven and earth seemed to have undergone a different kind of change.
The wind howled, his hair flew wildly, and a fierce gust lifted his robe, blocking his sight. As he fell, Fang Yun deftly stripped off the robe and casually tossed it aside, utterly at ease.
As he neared the water, Fang Yun kept his head lowered. The instant both feet touched the surface, he bent slightly, his expression as intent as if he were reading an obscure, difficult Sacred Book.
Boom...
Fang Yun struck the seawater at high speed. The powerful collision threw up an enormous white wave shaped like a morning glory.
Yan Yukong watched the great wave scatter with nervous anticipation. Then Fang Yun's figure appeared again, shooting straight into the air like an arrow once more.
Many Demon Barbarians and humans were utterly astonished.
Using the force of a landing to make a second consecutive jump was a standard way to gain height. Many Demon Barbarians and members of the Water Race had already performed double or even triple jumps, but consecutive jumps placed an enormous strain on the body.
Even the Elephant Clan and Whale Race could barely manage double jumps. A triple jump would inevitably injure them, making the loss outweigh the gain.
As for humans, no Demon Barbarian believed their bodies could withstand consecutive jumps.
