Fang Yun's eyes were tightly shut, his ears deaf to all outside sounds. Every connection to the outside world had been severed.

His body, condensed from Divine Sense, stood within the Literary Palace and gazed upward. Its translucent form radiated a gentle, lustrous glow, while faint starlight shone from its eyes, reflecting the stars in the Literary Palace Starry Sky.

Confusion appeared in the eyes of Fang Yun's Divine Sense. He distinctly sensed an immense power descending, vast and majestic, towering and boundless, just beyond the Literary Palace. Even the Palace Stars trembled and flickered in response, yet he could see nothing.

After a moment's thought, Fang Yun's Divine Sense closed its eyes as well.

The instant he closed his eyes, Fang Yun's mind shuddered. He found himself seemingly enclosed within a transparent dome of light. Beyond it lay endless flames, their fiery red deeper than blood.

In that instant, Fang Yun felt that he would be burned alive, but the invisible, transparent dome kept every flame outside.

Fang Yun drew a deep breath. He soon sensed that these flames possessed no power to incinerate all things. Instead, they resembled a power of order, seeing through everything without flaunting it, knowing all things without posing any threat. Though they clearly possessed the power to make others bow their heads, they conveyed a sense of closeness, yet within that closeness lay distance.

It was a power filled with contradictions.

Deeply astonished, Fang Yun examined it carefully with his senses. At last, he discovered that these flames bore some resemblance to the aura of his School of War Literary Platform. Countless thoughts then flashed through his mind, and finally he stared at the flames before him in disbelief.

These flames radiated an aura similar to the Way of Wisdom.
