The Analects recorded the words of Confucius and his disciples. Though everyone called the Book of Changes the foremost of the classics, many regarded The Analects as the foremost classic of the Confucian School, because it concretely recorded the paths to attaining the Sacred Way, making it far more precious than the other classics.
