Snape left the sniveling Malfoy behind and headed for the first-year dormitory. Goyle and Crabbe had just finished changing when Snape dragged them out to confront them.

After receiving an affirmative answer, Snape made his way to Chu Yang's room, both startled and suspicious.

Malfoy and the other two followed closely behind Snape.

Snape shoved the door open, then looked up at the ceiling, only to find that nothing had been damaged.

Chu Yang had just come out of the washroom when he saw Snape's frosty expression and the aggrieved-looking Malfoy behind him.

Chu Yang smiled. "Respected Professor Snape, is there something you need so early in the morning?"

Snape took a deep breath. Instead of bringing up the bookmark, he asked, "Mr. Malfoy is your roommate, yet he slept in the Common Room last night. Don't you have an explanation for that?"

Chu Yang quickly glanced at Malfoy and the other two, then asked in surprise, "Malfoy actually slept in the Common Room last night?"

A regretful expression appeared on his face, and his tone carried a hint of apology. "I went to bed early last night. When Malfoy and the others came back, they woke me up. I complained a little, and perhaps that was why he went to sleep in the Common Room."

Chu Yang looked at Malfoy with a smile. "I'm very sorry, Malfoy."

Malfoy's scalp went numb!

"But I remember inviting you to stay and rest afterward, didn't I?" Chu Yang stared sincerely at the three of them.

Goyle and Crabbe nodded instinctively. Chu Yang had not lied. He really had asked Malfoy to stay last night; Malfoy had simply been too frightened and run away.

Having finally understood the whole story, Snape looked coldly at Malfoy. "Mr. Malfoy, I am someone who despises lies. I will truthfully inform your father of your actions today."

Malfoy immediately let out a miserable scream!

The highest form of lying was scrambling up the truth, then embellishing it before telling it.

Chu Yang smiled contentedly, but to Goyle and Crabbe, his smile was like that of a devil.

"Get to class, now!"

Snape roared, sending Malfoy and the other two fleeing from the dormitory in a panic.

Before leaving, Snape gave Chu Yang a long, deep look.

He knew things were not as simple as Chu Yang had made them sound, but since Chu Yang had not revealed any flaws, there was no need to pursue the matter further.

As for Malfoy, Snape's anger toward him came entirely from his stupidity.

If arrogance did not match one's strength, then one was merely an overconfident idiot.

Knowing Snape's temperament, Chu Yang understood from his reaction that the matter had been put behind them.

The first thing Chu Yang had done after getting up that morning was erase all traces of the previous night.

After taking down the bookmark, he had used the Mending Charm to restore everything.

Snape probably never imagined that a little wizard who had just enrolled could cast spells so proficiently.

After Malfoy, the other two, and Snape had left the dormitory, Chu Yang leisurely packed his things and headed out. The moment he reached the Common Room, several older students blocked his path.

"Kid, I heard you knocked around quite a few students in your year the night before last? The things you learned in the Muggle world won't keep working here forever." A tall older student glared down at Chu Yang.

Chu Yang smiled politely. "That's fine. As long as they worked the night before last!"

The tall older student's anger surged at Chu Yang's answer. He had not expected a first-year to dare talk back to him like that.

"Harper!" A lanky boy with long curly hair beside him reached out to stop the older student from losing his temper. "We're wizards, not street thugs brawling in the Muggle world. We have our own ways of handling things."

The burly boy named Harper suppressed his anger and stepped back several paces. "You're right, Marcus."

As he spoke, the long-haired Marcus pulled a wand from his robes and pointed it at Chu Yang. "Do you know how many points our house lost because of you? The school year has only just begun!"

When Marcus drew his wand, the polite smile vanished from Chu Yang's face. His expression turned grim. "First, I already earned back the points Slytherin lost. Second, are you sure you want to do this? Do you have the courage to bear all the consequences?"

"Courage?" Marcus smiled mockingly. "Courage isn't Gryffindor's exclusive privilege. Slytherin has never lacked courage either."

As the two faced off, another older student came over from the spiral staircase. He carried himself with great authority, walking up with his head held high before saying, "Marcus, don't go too far. Otherwise, it'll be hard for me to explain things to the school. This is my final year here, and I don't want to leave behind a stain."

"No problem, Prefect. I'll use a simple Petrification Curse to keep him in the Common Room all day," Marcus replied respectfully.

After giving Chu Yang a cold glance, the man left the Common Room without looking back.

Was disciplining a non-Pure-blood wizard in Slytherin really such a big deal?

Of course not!

These older students had wanted to deal with Chu Yang last night, but Chu Yang had changed dormitories at the last minute, and they had never managed to find him.

Who would have thought that Chu Yang, who came from an orphanage, could move into a two-person room?

Students kept passing by Chu Yang, all of them looking utterly indifferent.

No one here cared about what would happen to him...

"Slytherin really is a wonderful place. I'm liking it more and more." The corners of Chu Yang's lips rose, but his eyes radiated danger.

"I'll make you understand that fists are completely useless to wizards!" Marcus swung his wand and began chanting. He cast very quickly, completing the spell in barely two seconds.

A faint light gleamed at the tip of Marcus's wand.

With a hard swing, the activated spell shot toward Chu Yang like a bolt of lightning.

Chu Yang dodged the spell with a sidestep, even twisting his waist as a warm-up while mocking him. "Your spellwork is pretty practiced. You must use that move on people all the time, huh? But you're too slow. Even the granny next door to me is more nimble than you."

"So this is how wizards handle things? Not even as tough as a Muggle's fist."

Chu Yang's words did little damage, but they were deeply insulting. The students watching erupted in laughter. Marcus's face visibly reddened as he raised his wand, preparing to cast a more powerful spell.

Holding back was nonsense. Humiliated and enraged, Marcus only wanted to take Chu Yang down.

"Confringo!"

Marcus was casting the Blasting CurseConfringo!

Unfortunately for him, Chu Yang, who possessed Observation Haki, had already drawn his wand and cast his spell before Marcus could shout it out.

"Expelliarmus!"

Disarming Charm!

A flash shot from the tip of Chu Yang's wand, striking Marcus's wand with perfect accuracy and knocking it away.

The laughter in the Common Room came to an abrupt stop as everyone stared in shock at the first-year who had caused such a huge stir.

Clearly, this was not the scene they had expected to see.
