Then he had gone into the ocean to fight the six great sea monsters, decorating the sides of his throne with their tentacles.

Finally, after hunting down the three giant eagles of the skies, he had made a kingdom from their feathers and claws, ascending from man to god.

These were all legends about the War God.

Whether they were true or false was now difficult to establish.

One thing, however, was true.

The War God was a master of warfare.

And immensely powerful.

Before the Calamity Lady appeared, his had been the sole faith of the Northern Continent.

Thus, the captain had every reason to believe.

They would win.

The Church of Mist would surely fall!

After all, the Church of Mist was merely a small, newly risen church.

Its only noteworthy achievement was its battle against an aberration in Sika City.
