Background / History

The sect was founded on Black Dragon Mountain approximately ten thousand years ago. Its founder, Tianyue Hermit, achieved sudden enlightenment there as a Qi-Ingesting cultivator and established the Jia Wood Dao Foundation, Heaven-Piercing Stance. The sect’s surviving historical record ends with the patriarch leaving to seek divine abilities. 60

According to a sect elder, the name “Hundred Yue” reflected the founders’ wish for the sect to produce one hundred immortals. The elder claimed that the sect had fulfilled this ambition, with more than one hundred cultivators having entered the Dao. 59

The Hundred Yue Sect controls the Black Dragon Mountain region and draws labor, resources, and disciples from its surrounding settlements. During its war with the Mingji Sect, it expanded its conscription of miners and other laborers to sustain the conflict. 11 12 52

Its front was later routed in a surprise offensive by the Mingji Sect and the eight great families, prompting unrest within the sect and fears that the war could spread further into its territory. 79 81 84

Failure could be fatal. During a mining competition settlement, a sect Daoist erased the names of miners who had not met their obligations, causing them to explode while their blood essence was absorbed by the roster. 22

Mining Leaderboard

Practices and Controversies

True Qi Exploitation

The sect’s generous distribution of seventh-tier True Qi to miners conceals a more exploitative purpose. Most miners become vessels in which their True Qi merges with their own qi, producing Jade Harmony True Qi. 83

This harvested True Qi is used to refine Perfect Jade Spirit Liquid, which improves the success rate of Qi Assimilation and reduces the damage caused by a failed attempt. 83

Internal Violence

Although the sect formally prohibits disciples from killing one another, the rule is not consistently observed or enforced. 81
