The Fossil Museum looked unremarkable from the outside, but its interior was lavishly decorated, and its hall was enormous-even larger than Count Stanwen's manor.
The hall held several skeletons of gigantic creatures. These were the legendary behemoths that had ruled the entire world before humans came into existence.
Merlin looked around the hall. He recognized most of these behemoth fossils, thanks to the memories of "Leo" in his mind.
Perhaps because Leo could not inherit a behemoth bloodline yet still yearned for great power, he had become fascinated with legends of behemoths, and by extension, their fossils. He often visited the Fossil Museum and was very familiar with the fossils displayed here.
"Young Master Leo, you're here!"
An old man appeared in the hall. He had a scruffy beard and wore a mink coat, but otherwise looked impeccably groomed.
"Curator Eru."
Merlin bowed slightly. Curator Eru apparently came from Sacred Dragon City, the capital of the Sacred Dragon Empire, and had opened this Fossil Museum. His background was shrouded in mystery. No one knew who he really was, yet he had stayed in Stone City for more than ten years.
"Young Master Leo, I heard there was an incident at the Count's Manor a few days ago, and someone from the Black Bat Army stabbed you. How are your wounds?"
The neatly groomed old man asked softly.
"It was nothing serious. I've almost recovered. By the way, Curator Eru, I heard your Fossil Museum recently acquired some new behemoth fossils. Is that true?"
Merlin glanced around the hall. He recognized all these behemoth fossils, and there was nothing special about them. Even with his keen perception, he could sense nothing.
