Inside the Nutrient Pool, the ink-black nutrient water gave off waves of foul stench that permeated the entire basement. Yet Merlin's enormous Beastified body luxuriated in the nourishment provided by the various precious materials within the pool.
This was already the eighteenth batch of materials for the Nutrient Pool, yet Merlin had still not reached the Fourth Beastification Form. The time spent had far exceeded his previous expectations.
However, as long as materials remained and he could still prepare Nutrient Pools, Merlin would continue doing so. His Beastified body had expanded by another size, and two swollen lumps of flesh had appeared on his back. The longer he soaked in the Nutrient Pool, the more unbearably itchy those fleshy lumps became, as though they were about to split apart.
He knew this was a sign that he was about to reach the Fourth Beastification Form. Once he did, the Blood-Eyed Demon Dragon would truly display the characteristics of a "dragon"—a pair of wings growing from its back. Once those two fleshy lumps split open, they would turn into wings.
After all, the Blood-Eyed Demon Dragon was ultimately a Draconic Hybrid and possessed certain dragon-like traits. Of course, the Blood-Eyed Demon Dragon's most terrifying innate ability was the "Blood Eye." Thus, the Fourth Beastification Form would not produce the Blood Eye; it would only appear during Full Beastification.
Still, even if only the wings appeared, they would be of tremendous help to Merlin, and the advantage would be obvious. What was more, upon reaching the Fourth Beastification Form, the Blood-Eyed Demon Dragon's power would become even more terrifying, truly allowing him to contend against those low-tier Behemoth Bloodline warriors in Full Beastification.
