The Void Realm fell quiet again. A little less than half of the Great Light Domain had been destroyed. After all, both Merlin's annihilation energy and the Great Light Overlord's vast rule power were terrifying beyond measure. If they directed those powers at it, destroying the entire Great Light Domain would have been no difficult feat.
Although nearly half of the Great Light Domain had been destroyed, the Light Protectors of the Supreme Second Tier had suffered few losses. The Light Envoys of the supreme first tier, however, had died almost without exception.
That was because all seventy-two Light Envoys had signed Slave Contracts with the Great Light Overlord. With his death, they could not survive either.
The remaining Light Protectors of the second tier trembled with fear. None of them left. Instead, they looked toward Merlin, waiting for his judgment.
Merlin pondered for a while before deciding what to do. He said calmly, "The Great Light Domain ceases to exist from this moment onward. All of you are free. Those who wish to stay may stay, and those who wish to leave may leave now. Before you go, however, tell me where the two Remnant Clan Imprisoned Planes under the Great Light Overlord's control are."
Merlin had considered forcing these Supreme Existences of the Great Light Domain to join the Spellcaster Civilization, but after thinking it over carefully, he abandoned the idea. A sudden influx of Supreme Existences, particularly those of the second tier who felt no attachment to the Spellcaster Civilization, could easily cause problems instead.
Thus, Merlin let them leave of their own accord.
Many Light Protectors ultimately chose to leave, but before departing, they did indeed tell Merlin about the Great Light Overlord's two Remnant Clan Imprisoned Planes.
In the end, only one Light Protector remained.
