Within the Illusory World stood the same ordinary castle. Over the past few centuries, Sterman had found that it never changed. Although he had now become the most powerful member of the entire Purple-Eyed Clan, he still treated the mysterious Lord Merlin within the Illusion Space with the utmost respect, as though he were still that dull, frequently bullied boy from long ago.
Creak.
Sterman gently pushed open the castle doors and slowly walked inside. In the castle's sitting room sat two unusual men who looked quite ordinary.
"Lord Merlin, Lord Ditas!"
Sterman greeted them respectfully.
He knew a fair amount about Lord Merlin and understood that he ruled the entire Illusion Space. Within it, Merlin was practically omnipotent, leaving Sterman awestruck.
Even at his current level, Sterman still could not fathom the mysterious Lord Merlin.
Ditas, who sat beside Merlin, puzzled Sterman as well. He could tell that Ditas did not seem particularly powerful. Yet calling him Merlin's servant did not seem right either; they looked more like friends on equal footing. Thus, out of his respect for Merlin, Sterman also treated Ditas with great respect.
"You're here."
Merlin answered indifferently without even raising his head. He and Ditas seemed to have always been like this. Sterman even felt that, in all these centuries, he had never once seen Merlin smile.
Ditas was a little warmer. He smiled and said, "Sterman, you're now one of the most powerful beings in the entire plane. You seem quite busy. How did you find the time to visit us today?"
Merlin and Ditas knew Sterman better than anyone. Within the Illusory World, they had watched him grow almost every step of the way. Reaching his present heights had been no easy feat.
Sterman remained respectful, but hesitated as he looked at Merlin.
