Ch. 762Embodiment of Will!

Merlin fought the Light God Lord's embodiment of will, whose power overwhelmed his spells and threatened to destroy Ditas's Illusory World. He unleashed the Atlan Civilization's Empire-Class Warship and its Annihilation Cannon, destroying the embodiment and leaving the Light God Lord vowing to remember his aura.

  • Merlin attacked with Freeze, Annihilation Light, and the Illusory World, but none could overcome the Light God Lord's will.
  • Ditas warned that the Light God Lord was tearing apart the Illusory World, so Merlin withdrew it before it could be destroyed.
  • The Light God Lord shattered Merlin's earth-element Guardian with Divine Punishment, forcing Merlin to retreat and recognize his foe's Titled Legend-level strength.
  • Merlin brought out the repaired Empire-Class Warship and ordered the Matrix to fire its Annihilation Cannon.
  • The cannon pierced the Light God Lord's defenses and body, causing his embodiment of will to disintegrate.

Ch. 764Bright City

After destroying the Light God Lord’s avatar, Merlin left Blackwater City to destroy the Light Church and flew toward Bright City, where the Holy Light Empire remained under siege. Pope Fairland’s prayers went unanswered, and a three-headed monster appeared over the city.

  • The Light God Lord vowed to kill Merlin if he entered the Void Realm, while Merlin resolved to destroy the Light Church before it could summon the god again.
  • Merlin attended Lady Kailisi’s funeral with Gute, then decided to leave Blackwater City rather than wait for Old Wilson and Macy.
  • Merlin promised little Andi he might visit again, then departed on the Three-Headed Demon Dragon toward Bright City.
  • The Black Moon Kingdom’s Great Wizards continued their siege of Bright City, but Emperor Fairland’s defenses held against them.
  • Pope Fairland prayed repeatedly to the God of Light without receiving an answer, until a huge monster flew over Bright City.

Ch. 765The Decline of Divine Authority

Merlin arrived above Bright City and shattered its defenses, allowing the Black Moon Kingdom to defeat the Light Church. After converting the divine power in the Book of Light into warship energy, Merlin watched the God of Light’s statue fall as the Church’s authority collapsed.

  • Merlin used the Dark Eye’s Annihilation Light to break Bright City’s defensive barrier.
  • Merlin spread an illusion throughout Bright City, preventing Fairland from using the Book of Light to escape.
  • Merlin fed the Book of Light into the High-Energy Power Furnace, and Matrix began decomposing its divine power into energy.
  • Merlin ordered Matrix to store the Book of Light and convert its remaining divine power when the warship needed energy.
  • The Spellcasters destroyed the God of Light’s statue and took control of Bright City, marking the Light Church’s defeat.

Ch. 766The Secret of the Violet-Gold Crown

After the Black Moon Empire was founded, Butuo XVII asked Merlin to recover a treasure that could replace the destroyed Violet-Gold Crown and secure the royal family's rule. Merlin agreed to explore the secret place where the crown had been found and prepared to set out with a royal elder.

  • Butuo XVII told Merlin that Spellcasters questioned the Black Moon Empire's authority because the royal family had lost the Violet-Gold Crown.
  • Butuo XVII revealed that the Black Moon Great Mage had found the crown in a secret place said to contain even greater treasures.
  • Butuo XVII explained that the royal family could not obtain the treasures itself and asked Merlin to find one at least as powerful as the crown.
  • Merlin agreed to give the royal family one comparable treasure if he obtained one, and he and Butuo XVII signed a contract.
  • Butuo XVII arranged for a Royal Elder Council elder to guide Merlin to the secret place, and Merlin asked to leave as soon as possible.

Ch. 767The Hidden Land of a Thousand Years

Merlin accompanied Mage Byron into the Royal Family’s Hidden Land and discovered that its true treasure was linked to the Land of Glory’s Planar Origin. He reached the guarded stone door where the Violet-Gold Crown had been found and prepared to fight its two living stone guards.

  • Mage Byron led Merlin through the Royal Family’s concealed passages and a decoy treasure chamber to the underground palace known as the Hidden Land.
  • Merlin sensed a trace of the Land of Glory’s Elemental Origin in the palace and followed it to an ancient door.
  • Mage Byron told Merlin that the treasure lay beyond the door and that anyone entering had to defeat its guards.
  • Two stone statues came to life, revealed their power to transform their life state, and demanded that Merlin defeat them before they would answer his questions.
  • Merlin agreed to fight the guards while Mage Byron watched expectantly.

Ch. 768Enormous stone carvings

Merlin defeated the two living puppets guarding the stone gate and entered the Hidden Land, where carvings revealed a history of the Land of Glory that contradicted what spellcasters believed. In a hall filled with the aura of planar origin, a lion-bodied, human-faced statue spoke to him.

  • Merlin blocked the guards’ attacks and froze them with a powerful ice spell, earning permission to pass through the gate.
  • The guards revealed that they were living puppets before returning to their places as stone statues, and Merlin entered the Hidden Land.
  • Merlin overcame his fear, strengthening his Mind Power and awakening a trace of will that Ditas could sense.
  • Merlin followed carvings that depicted the Land of Glory’s history, including two early spellcaster rises that ended in defeat by the gods.
  • A lion-bodied statue with a human face addressed Merlin in the hall and asked whether he had passed the gate guarded by the two puppets.

Ch. 769Golden Saint Armor

Merlin chose the Golden Saint Armor from the Hidden Land’s treasure chamber and gave it to Byron Mage for the Royal Family. He defeated the Sphinx Guard with an illusion and learned that the next area held the master’s sealed creations and personal insights, leaving him to ask who the master was.

  • The Sphinx Guard led Merlin to a chamber of sealed treasures and warned him that he could choose only one.
  • Merlin selected a thin golden armor, which became the Golden Saint Armor when the Sphinx Guard broke its seal.
  • Merlin agreed to give the armor to Byron Mage and challenged the Sphinx Guard to obtain greater rewards.
  • The Sphinx Guard attacked Merlin with overwhelming physical force, but Merlin froze its arms, tore at it with a gale, and trapped it in the Illusory World before striking it down.
  • The Sphinx Guard admitted defeat and told Merlin that the next area contained the master’s sealed creations and personal insights.
  • Merlin asked the Sphinx Guard who its master was.

Ch. 771Mobata World

Merlin learned that Orumba had created the Mobata World and left treasures there, then entered it despite the danger. He arrived in a world without elements, discovered its space was exceptionally stable, and flew toward a powerful life force he had sensed.

  • The Sphinx Guard told Merlin that Orumba had lived in the Land of Glory since its barbaric age, carved the stone tablets, and left three thousand years ago.
  • The Sphinx Guard warned Merlin that Orumba’s power protected the Planar Origin, which even an Arcane Mage could not control, and offered him the choice to enter the Mobata World.
  • Merlin entered the gate of light and was thrown into a small river in the Mobata World.
  • Merlin found that the world had no elements and that its space was too stable for him to break or travel through.
  • Merlin detected a powerful creature’s life force in the mountain forest, felt it lock onto him, and flew toward it.

Ch. 772Vicious Bird

Merlin subdued a powerful Vicious Bird and set off to explore the new world. Meanwhile, Mia and Kevin’s convoy fled the Barbarians, only to be confronted by a horde of ferocious beasts, and Mia chose to stay behind so Kevin could escape.

  • Merlin struck the Vicious Bird with Annihilation Light, then trapped it with Wind and Freeze.
  • Merlin communicated with the Vicious Bird, won its submission, and rode it away to explore the new world.
  • Mia and the twelve-year-old Kevin traveled with Count Mantra’s family toward Lumba City, hoping to escape the Barbarians.
  • A knight warned Mia that a horde of ferocious beasts, including several seventh-rank beasts, was charging toward the convoy.
  • Mia decided to hold off the beasts and ordered Kevin to flee with the knights because she believed he was the Lineage’s hope.

Ch. 773A Sacred Domain Powerhouse?

Mia sent Captain Olong away with Kevin while the convoy prepared to face a deadly beast tide. Merlin arrived riding the Vicious Bird, halted the horde, and left the survivors believing he was a Sacred Domain powerhouse who had tamed a King Beast.

  • Mia ordered Captain Olong to take Kevin and escape, then led the knights in preparing to defend the convoy.
  • Merlin rode the Vicious Bird above the fleeing beasts and realized its presence had inadvertently created the beast tide.
  • Merlin spotted the endangered convoy and urged the Vicious Bird to hurry so the people would not be harmed.
  • Mia and the knights mistook the Vicious Bird for the legendary King Beast of the Lombes Mountains as it approached.
  • The Vicious Bird roared, stopped the tide, and sent the beasts back into the forest.
  • Merlin addressed the convoy through their minds, and the survivors noticed him on the Vicious Bird and assumed he was a Sacred Domain powerhouse.

Ch. 774The Relief and the Body-Training Method

Merlin agreed to help Mia and Kevin save Mantra City and learned that the Mobata World’s warriors trained through Body-Training Methods. Watching Kevin practice revealed that his method resembled the postures Merlin had found on the Mysterious Relief, leaving Merlin to wonder how the relief and this world were connected.

  • Mia and Kevin begged Merlin to save Mantra City from the Barbarians, and Merlin agreed to go with them.
  • Merlin carried Mia and Kevin toward Mantra City on the Vicious Bird, which Mia identified as the legendary Draconic Bird.
  • Kevin asked Merlin to accept him as a disciple, and Merlin instead asked him to explain his training and demonstrate his Body-Training Method.
  • Merlin recognized that Kevin’s training movements resembled the postures on the Mysterious Relief he had practiced.
  • Merlin concluded that a complete version of the relief’s method might let practitioners reach the Eighth Stage, Ninth Stage, or even the Sacred Domain.

Ch. 775Barbarians

Merlin and his companions arrived at Mantra City as Barbarians were about to overwhelm its defenders. Merlin sent the Draconic Bird to drive the attackers away, leaving Mia and Kevin to reach their wounded father, Count Mantra.

  • Merlin considered the limits of body-training methods and realized he needed to meet higher-level people to learn more about the world.
  • The Barbarians battered Mantra City's gates for three days, and Count Mantra ordered his people to resist to the end.
  • Count Mantra led the remaining knights in a charge, but the ninth-stage Barbarian chief shattered his greatsword and severely injured him.
  • Mia and Kevin arrived with Merlin on the Draconic Bird and begged Merlin to save their father.
  • Merlin sent the Draconic Bird against the Barbarians, and it defeated the chief and forced the Barbarian army to retreat.
  • Mia and Kevin hurried to Count Mantra's side as Merlin praised the Draconic Bird.

Ch. 777Count Mantra

After Merlin helped save Mantra City from the Barbarians, he learned more about Mobata World’s Body-Training Method and reflected on his own stalled progress. The chapter ended with Count Mantra teaching Kevin to train, while Merlin thought of his father, Old Wilson.

  • Count Mantra thanked Merlin for rescuing Kevin and Mia and saving Mantra City, then arranged for the battlefield to be cleared.
  • Count Mantra explained that the Barbarians had come south because bitter cold made survival in the north impossible, while Merlin kept his questions about their enmity to himself.
  • Ditas told Merlin that Mobatans gained their powerful physiques by practicing the Body-Training Method and urged him to pursue the Illusion Heart.
  • Merlin considered the limits of the Body-Training Method and hoped that Orumba’s legacy might help him break through his own bottleneck.
  • Merlin discovered Kevin secretly practicing, and Count Mantra praised his son for turning back to protect Mantra City before teaching him their lineage’s method.

Ch. 778History

Merlin learned that the Morbata Empire had fallen after its final emperor tried to break through space, then set out for Lumba City to find what Orumba had left behind. As he arrived on the Draconic Bird, Lumba City's alarm sounded for the first time in ten thousand years.

  • Merlin read Mobata World’s history and concluded that its strongest experts were likely comparable to Great Legendaries.
  • Merlin decided to travel to Lumba City and used his Mental Power to imprint the Body-Training Method in Kevin’s mind before leaving Mantra City.
  • Kevin vowed to become a Sacred Domain expert as Merlin flew away on the Draconic Bird.
  • After two days, Merlin reached Lumba City and wondered how its Sacred Domain experts would treat him.
  • A watchtower soldier spotted the approaching Draconic Bird and sounded the alarm across Lumba City.

Ch. 779Special Force Field

Merlin confronted three Sacred Domain experts guarding Lumba City, who attacked after learning he came from another world and might offer a way out. He overwhelmed them with his power and froze them, leaving them defeated and at his mercy.

  • Three Sacred Domain experts flew out of the tower and questioned Merlin after seeing him arrive on the Draconic Bird.
  • Merlin admitted he came from another world, and the experts attacked in hopes of escaping Mobata World and finding help.
  • The experts used their Gravity, Chaos, and Sluggishness Fields against Merlin and the Draconic Bird.
  • Merlin tested Illusion on the experts, but they resisted it and broke free.
  • Merlin destroyed their fields with pale flames, then summoned the Rainbow Mage's Heart and froze all three experts.

Ch. 780The Rumba Stele (Part One)

Merlin forced three Sacred Domain experts to lead him to the Rumba Stele outside Lumba City, which he recognized as connected to the Hidden Land. There, Lord Valon confronted Merlin and immediately identified him as not being a Mobatan.

  • Merlin learned that the great being Orumba had left behind the Rumba Stele and that Lord Valon was studying it.
  • The three Sacred Domain experts agreed to guide Merlin to the stele, and Merlin released them from his spells.
  • Merlin and the experts flew beyond Lumba City, with the Draconic Bird following them.
  • Merlin saw the towering Rumba Stele and sensed that it was connected to the Hidden Land.
  • Lord Valon opened his eyes, fixed his gaze on Merlin, and declared that Merlin was not a Mobatan.

Ch. 782Rumba Stele (Part Two)

Merlin and Valon fought to a standstill before agreeing to investigate the Rumba Stele, which Merlin recognized as connected to Orumba. Merlin activated the stele with his Mind Power, and he and Valon entered its Vortex while the other Sacred Domain experts remained behind.

  • Valon attacked Merlin with his Special Force Field, but Merlin countered his attacks until they reached a standstill.
  • Merlin told Valon he came from another world seeking the Rumba Stele, and Valon asked whether he knew how to leave Mobata World.
  • Merlin recognized figures on the stele as matching the Mysterious Relief and the history of the Land of Glory.
  • Merlin touched the stele with his Mind Power, causing it to reveal a Vortex that required a Spell Caster's Mind Power and a Sacred Domain expert's blood.
  • Valon supplied his blood, and he and Merlin entered the Vortex together.
  • The three remaining Sacred Domain experts tried to activate the stele with their blood, failed, and stayed to guard it.

Ch. 783The Secret of Origins (Part One)

Merlin and Valon met Orumba, who explained that he had traveled between countless Dimensional Worlds and created the Mobata World and its people through failed experiments. He revealed that he later used the Void Realm’s rules and elements to create Spellcasters, leaving Merlin to confront the truth about his civilization’s origins.

  • A beam of white light brought Merlin and Valon to Orumba, who reshaped their surroundings into a pavilion beside a lake.
  • Orumba explained that he had traveled through countless Dimensional Worlds and spent hundreds of thousands of years in the Void Realm.
  • Orumba said he had advanced life in the Land of Glory and tested Body-Training Methods on its people, but they could not surpass the level of a Titled Legend.
  • Merlin deduced that Orumba had sent the failed Body-Training practitioners to the Mobata World and called them Mobatans.
  • Orumba confirmed that he had created Spellcasters by using the Land of Glory’s elements to help people build Spell Models.

Ch. 784The Secret of Their Origins (Part Two)

Orumba revealed that he had created the Spellcaster Civilization and guided its greatest leaders, then gave Merlin and Valon Life Tablets before disappearing. Merlin and Valon returned to find the Rumba Stele destroyed and Orumba’s seal weakening, opening the way for Mobata World to reach the Void Realm.

  • Orumba told Merlin that he had founded the Spellcaster Civilization and secretly guided Augustus, Sethis, Dis, and Santo.
  • Orumba warned Merlin not to merge with the rules, explained that he had created the Hidden Land, and gave Merlin and Valon Life Tablets that could resurrect each of them three times.
  • Orumba vanished, and the collapsing Hidden Land transported Merlin and Valon back to the Rumba Stele.
  • After learning that half a year had passed, Valon reunited with the three Sacred Domain powerhouses while the Rumba Stele shook and crumbled.
  • Merlin demonstrated that the weakened space could now be shattered easily as Orumba’s seal faded and Mobata World’s access to the Void Realm opened.

Ch. 785Plane Lord!

Merlin returned to the Land of Glory, refined its Elemental Origin, and became its Plane Lord. He hid the Hidden Land and left the Life Tablet under guard before setting out to see Butuo XVII.

  • Valon refused Merlin's offer of Spellcaster Civilization protection and vowed that the Mobatans would explore the Void Realm and control their own fate.
  • Merlin returned to the Land of Glory, learned that the Sphinx Guard and four other guards had to obey the Life Tablet's owner, and began refining the Elemental Origin.
  • Merlin gained complete control of the Elemental Origin and became the Plane Lord of the Land of Glory.
  • Merlin gathered the five guards, moved the Hidden Land to a secret location, and left the Life Tablet there under the Sphinx Guard's protection.
  • Merlin set out to see Butuo XVII.
