"There are many possibilities," Ian said. "We could go an extreme route for Luke Cage and Daredevil."
"Do you want to develop Luke Cage's invulnerable skin and Daredevil's extreme senses?"
"We can reshape Luke Cage's skin with reference to Fae. It would be great if he could develop defense capabilities comparable to Tier 10. Daredevil can develop Cosmic Awareness, Jessica·Jones' super strength should fit perfectly with Kryptonians's DNA, and Iron Fist's chi is another form of magic or energy in this world."
"These are all doable," Morgana agreed. "How about we turn them into a recon team? Once our world goes through Fusion, we send them in to gather intel and disrupt the situation."
"This is indeed a good idea," Ian nodded. "The problem is how to convince them. The character of these guys determines that they care more about their small neighborhood than the larger cosmic events; that is why they are only street-level heroes."
"They may indeed choose to save the people in their own city instead of trying to help the entire universe," Morgana nodded. "So, what to do now?"
"I will leave a clone and let it intervene in their lives. I hope I can use it to convince them in the future," Ian said before leaving the clone. He still has a lot of work to do, because things are developing faster than he expected.
His next destination was Wakanda. After sending the reminder, he was received personally by the King, this time without his armor, although Dora Mi Raj (Royal Guard) still accompanied him.
After many exchanges over the past three years - including providing the whereabouts of Ulysses Klaue - his relationship with Wakanda can now be described as friendly.
"Your message makes it seem like this is an official visit rather than a friendly visit?" King T'Chaka asked after a brief greeting.
"Indeed," Ian replied seriously. "In that case, come with me to the throne room. We will have a meeting with the advisors."
Ian followed the king to the conference room, where the queen and other advisors—including Wakanda chief scientist Master Makana—were there. He sat on a chair facing everyone, and the meeting began immediately:
"Well, my friend, what has happened to make you look so solemn?" asked the king.
"Time is running out, I can't take my time anymore," Ian's answer confused everyone. However, he did not explain - at least not yet. "Before we begin, I would like to ask goddess Bastet to be a witness to this meeting."
As soon as he finished speaking, to everyone's shock, a cloud of white mist appeared in the room, and then a five-meter-tall figure with blue eyes Blink appeared. It looked around, and then slowly condensed into a human shape.
"Did you summon me?" She looked at Ian and asked. However, before he could answer, the Wakanda people quickly saluted their goddess, and Bastet also nodded to them.
"My name is Ian, the new Sorcerer Supreme, yes, I summoned you."
"Sorcerer Supreme? I think I've heard that term before. Oh, by the way, Guardians who protects Earth from a mysterious threat?"
"That's us."
"Many of your predecessors were powerful and accomplished mages. I hope you will live up to their legacy."
"I hope so," Ian replied politely.
"Then, why did you summon me to this realm?"
"I plan to discuss a very serious matter with Wakanda people. I believe your presence will give my words more weight."
"Just for this?"
"I believe this information is vital to you as well."
"Oh?"
"Yes, and it's so serious that I must ask you to take the highest oath and never leak this information."
"Do you understand what you are asking me to do?"
"I understand. If you are willing, I can contact All-Father to vouch for me."
"Even Asgardians is involved? Now, I'm a little interested," Bastet muttered with a frown. She thought for a few seconds. "Very good. I swear on my Godhead that I, Black Panther, Bastet, the goddess of felines, protection and reproduction, will never leak any information discussed in this meeting."
A golden chain appeared in front of her and sank directly into her forehead. "I hope you are not wasting my time."
"Thank you for your cooperation," Ian said.
"Bring a chair to the goddess immediately," T'Chaka said to his son standing on his left. "No, she can sit in my seat." He stood up, and his wife followed suit.
"No need," Bastet said, walked between the two groups of people, and transformed a chair on the far right, leaving some distance in the middle. Ian didn't care about her position; instead, he focused on the young T'Challa.
"What I'm about to say or show may be too heavy for his young mind."
"Don't worry. As our next king, T'Challa's mind is trained like a warrior's. He'll be fine," T'Chaka said.
"Now that you say so," Ian shrugged. In the worst case scenario, he could have wiped the boy's memory. He first sealed off the room to prevent any prying eyes.
"As you may know, it is our duty as mages to protect the world from magical threats. One of the ways we are able to accomplish this task so successfully is that we are able to peer into the future.
"However, we have recently detected a terrifying future. Let me show you part of it."
He waved his hand and showed them the vision of the future. He didn't show everything now, but it was enough to give them an idea of the general situation. The room was immediately quiet for more than five minutes.
"My child, are you okay?" the queen asked suddenly, remembering that her son was still here.
"I'm fine," T'Challa replied, but his body was shaking uncontrollably.
'This boy's willpower is better than I thought,' Ian commented in his heart.
"This can't be real," one advisor declared. "These images must have been created using very advanced holographic technology or magic." Many people subscribed to this idea; quite literally, they had to believe it.
"Goddess Bastet," Ian said.
"I have to say, I have a hard time believing this, too," she declared. "I've heard of Fusion, but it's an extremely rare phenomenon. And now you're telling me it's happening on such a massive scale?"
"Your Highness, please forgive my presumption, but I want to ask a question," Makana asked.
"Ask."
"Are you saying that Fusion or the universe colliding with each other is real?" Makana could not describe the emotional fluctuations his old heart was going through. He first learned that Multiverse was real, which was unprecedented news for any scientist. But the good news did not last long.
"Indeed," Bastet nodded. "My father, La, told me about this after noticing such an incident with his Eye of Omniscience."
'Sun God Ra? Eye of Omniscience? Maybe these gods are more useful than I expected,' Ian thought to himself.
"So, logically speaking, such an event is possible?" Makana continued to ask.
"Yes, but who could have such power?" she replied. "Not even Celestials who has Infinity Stones has such power."
"Celestials? Infinity Stones?"
"Don't worry about it."
"As you wish." Makana stopped asking questions. T'Chaka The king had regained his composure. He looked at Ian: "Why are you telling us this?"
"My duty as Sorcerer Supreme is to protect this timeline. So, after learning the news, I have already started planning how to survive."
"Is this why you contacted us three years ago?"
"That's right."
"I assume there are others?"
"Yes, but the main thing is Asgardians."
"Are they?"
"Have you ever heard of Norse mythology?"
"Are you talking about Thor and Odin? Are they real? Well, I guess that makes sense. Many people also think that Bastet is just a myth," King T'Chaka nodded. "I understand your purpose. But what can we do in an event like this?" Their technology may be the most advanced on the planet, but they are powerless in the face of such a catastrophic event.
"That's why I'm here," Ian declared. "I'm going to provide you with the technology that will make you a real threat in the coming disaster, you just have to digest it as quickly as possible."
"Then what do you want in exchange?" T'Chaka The king did not believe that this man would share this kind of knowledge for free.
"First is Vibranium."
Everyone has expected this.
"Secondly, all new technologies you develop from now on must be shared with me."
