Background

Yan Jingchuan transmigrated into the Ultimate Douluo era and became the son of Yan Shaozhe and Cai Meier. He spent his early life at Shrek Academy, where he already held a deeply negative view of Shrek and Tang San based on knowledge from his previous life. 1

At his awakening ceremony, he manifested the Dark Sacred Dragon and the Hell Demon Puppet. The latter's blood-red, masked humanoid manifestation led Shrek's elders to identify him as an Evil Soul Master; Xuan Zi attempted to eliminate him, while Mu En intervened and prevented it. 1

Concluding that Shrek intended to cripple or destroy him for his martial souls, Yan Jingchuan escaped the academy by exploiting Ma Xiaotao's unstable evil fire. He gathered resources under his status as Yan Shaozhe's son, fled into the Star Dou Great Forest, and laid a false trail toward the forest while actually planning to reach the Sun Moon Empire. 2 3

During his escape, he met Du Busi, who recognized the Dark Sacred Dragon and learned of Yan Jingchuan's connection to Long Xiaoyao. Du Busi protected him from Yan Shaozhe, brought him to obtain his first Soul Ring, and became an early powerful supporter. 3 5

Yan Jingchuan openly presented himself to Jing Hongchen at the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy as Yan Shaozhe's son and a Shrek defector. Yan Jingchuan is calculating, highly future-oriented, and willing to manipulate both allies and enemies to create favorable conditions.
