She defeated Spider and rescued the missing magical girls, while the story left Larkspur away from home as her friends prepared for the Full Moon Festival.

• Larkspur took Xia Liang to Central Electronics Street, where she stood up to Li Yaqing and the girls who had mocked Xia Liang, then listened as Xia Liang explained why she hoped they could change.
• Larkspur and Xia Liang revisited places tied to Larkspur’s old squad, and Larkspur helped Xia Liang understand that her need for closeness came from past neglect before they returned home for Xia Liang’s birthday celebration.
• Larkspur learned that the Cat-Tail Squad had disappeared in Bai'an City and traveled there to investigate, where she found Lantern trapped in a Nest beneath the Anomaly Countermeasures Bureau.
• Lantern told Larkspur that Spider had been feeding people to an Aberrant Beast and that Cat Tail had vanished while investigating Black Ash Dawn’s plans.
• Larkspur and Lantern confronted Spider, who transformed into a Shellbreaker and trapped them in a Nest with Cat Tail and other captive magical girls.
• Larkspur deduced that Spider’s Rule depended on its web, sent Lantern to destroy it, and killed the Shellbreaker after Lantern’s attack weakened the bindings.
• The Investigation Institute’s teams cleared the remaining Black Ash Dawn forces, and Cat Tail warned Larkspur that other cities were facing abnormal events before returning to the Kingdom with her team.
• While Larkspur remained away, Lin Xiaolu, Bai Jingxuan, Xia Liang, and Moko handled chores at home, and Xia Liang learned that Hong Siyu was helping prepare the Anomaly Countermeasures Bureau recruitment exam.

Larkspur uncovered Moss’s experiments on Fangting City’s Bureau and rescued Hong Siyu and the transformed victims before defeating Moss. Lin Yun then became the Bureau’s director and purged its infiltrators, while Emerald warned that his damaged Heart Gem threatened his survival.

• An unknown caller warned Lin Yun about danger and urged him to find Morning Glory, leading Larkspur to the darkened Bureau.
• Larkspur discovered that Bureau employees had been fused with Aberrant Beasts and that Hong Siyu had become a gigantic moth-shaped Aberrant Beast.
• Hong Siyu confessed her longstanding love to Larkspur after Larkspur freed her from the moth-shaped Aberrant Beast.
• Moss attacked Lin Xiaolu, Xia Liang, and Bai Jingxuan, revealed her experiments using Cherry Blossom’s magic power, and transformed into a gigantic Molt-stage moth.
• Larkspur invoked Weave Destiny to restore the transformed humans and destroy the Aberrant Beasts, then killed Moss without learning who had been involved in Anya’s death.
• Larkspur secured authority over White Rose, Little Brocade, and Bo Xue and learned that someone had stolen Cherry Blossom’s Heart Gem from dead Black Ash Dawn members.

Lin Yun learned more about Bai Jingxuan’s origins and resolved to guide her, while Claw Mark moved against the Bureau to reclaim the Beast Source and capture her. The arc ended with Yuan confronting Larkspur, until Morning Glory arrived to protect her.

• Emerald offered Lin Yun a route to recovery through treatment in the Magic Kingdom and asked him to help establish her research institute.
• Lin Yun discovered beastly mana within Tian Sheng and refused Bai Jingxuan’s request to join the purge of Black Ash Dawn, despite her desire for revenge.
• Lin Xiaolu mistook Larkspur and Lin Yun for a couple and hoped Larkspur would become her stepmother, while Bai Jingxuan began calling Lin Yun Dad.
• Emerald explained that Bai Jingxuan was a natural-born Beast Shifter whose true nature made her a complete Claw Mark, and Lin Yun learned that White Wolf had founded Claw Mark with defectors from the Kingdom.
• Bing Bee Seven ambushed Third Squad at Lakeside Spring, revealed Bai Jingxuan’s origins, and was attacked by her after she transformed into her beastly state.
• Larkspur embraced Bai Jingxuan, promised to take her home and find her sister, then resolved to guide her and keep her connected to humanity.
• Lin Xiaolu downloaded Magical Girl Squad, accidentally spent her textbook money on a character, and Larkspur treated the purchase as an allowance for her patrol work.

Hong Siyu returned to help Larkspur, while Lin Xiaolu uncovered more about her father and his past. Asō Madoka reunited with Larkspur and warned that the next Qualification Certification Exam would bring a dangerous challenge, leaving Fangting City facing a sparring match with Bai'an City.

• Hong Siyu used her recorded Magic Armaments to help Larkspur defeat Yuan, then joined Larkspur as an ally while Yuan left promising to challenge her again.
• Lin Xiaolu tried to follow Hong Siyu and discovered Lin Yun with her, prompting Lin Yun to reveal that he directed the Anomaly Countermeasures Bureau and that his ties to Larkspur and Hong Siyu were work-related.
• Lin Yun reassured Bai Jingxuan about her birthday and family, and she again called Larkspur Mom when she reunited with her.
