The examination continued as a Claw Mark group discussed its plans with Bee, and one team broke through the maze wall toward the outside.

• Xia Liang met her new teammates, the fourteen-year-old twins Mountain Lily and Tiger Lily, who claimed teamwork could let them defeat Carry Ranking fighters based on Mountain Lily’s own calculation.
• Lin Xiaolu and Bai Jingxuan met Mint, their Squad 629 teammate, who explained her scouting methods and revealed she had ranked herself thirty-first in the Carry Ranking.
• The Queen arrived at the Silver Gallery with Purple Diamond and the Royal Court knights, while Purple Diamond criticized the Magic Affairs Institute for failing to identify who had used the Confusion Spell.
• Rose explained the labyrinth assessment’s scoring and open rules, then sent the candidates into the Silver Gallery’s rear garden to begin.

Lin Xiaolu’s team encountered Arrowroot at a Maze Node while Xia Liang’s team used its own tactics to win the maze, and Team 277 placed third overall. After Mint revealed Black Ash Dawn’s Beast Children among the examinees, Lin Xiaolu’s Magic Armament test exposed her exceptional potential, leaving Larkspur to consider both Lin Xiaolu’s future and the threat posed by the Beast Children.

• Lin Xiaolu, Mint, and Bai Jingxuan met Arrowroot at the Maze Node, where Arrowroot claimed the node and offered to split the points if they helped fight the Aberrant Beast.
• Arrowroot defeated the giant Aberrant Beast while Lin Xiaolu and the others cleared its smaller kin, then Lin Xiaolu stopped Arrowroot, Mint, and Bai Jingxuan from fighting during the assessment.
• Xia Liang used her Magic Armament to pass through maze walls, traded information about the exit, and led Mountain Lily and Tiger Lily to first place as Team 582.
