Nanahoshi Shizuka opened the door, looking delighted after a relaxing soak in the hot spring. She was properly dressed, of course, though her hair was still damp. This was Cain's home, and she didn't want to cause the Sword God or his two wives any more trouble.
There was something else worth mentioning: the Dragon God had told her that the Sword God was a man of noble character, willing to risk his life fighting the Human God's apostles for the woman he loved.
After spending time with him, Nanahoshi Shizuka had found that he really did have strong morals. He was polite to her, treated her with considerable respect, and supported her financially. That was why she felt comfortable coming to his house for a bath.
He was a traditional man who valued family and cared deeply for his wives, Roxy and Eris. He wasn't like most men in this other world, who let their lust do the thinking and had such disgusting notions of propriety and desire.
That was a major point in his favor as far as Nanahoshi was concerned.
Even her enrollment as a student at the Magic University had come about because the Sword God and his partner, Professor Roxy, had made a special request to Headmaster Jinas. He had also given her a large sum to cover her tuition. Nanahoshi Shizuka was deeply grateful.
As for why such a perfect Sword God had two wives, the Dragon God had told her that Eris had once been someone he had asked Cain to protect. Cain had watched over Lady Eris with devoted care for eight years, until she fell in love with him and confessed her feelings.
Then the Displacement Incident—the disaster caused by her own arrival—had apparently destroyed the Fittoa Region...
