As they stepped onto the red Teleportation Magic Circle, a white light flashed, and their figures vanished.
"Huh, is this a palace?!"
Eris widened her ruby-red eyes as she surveyed the spacious blue-green chamber.
The chamber was enormous, with neatly arranged stone pillars all around. In the center of the palace, a huge blue monster with nine heads and a body covered in Demon Crystals lay on the floor, apparently asleep.
Behind it stood a mound of magic crystal stone, and a woman's figure was sealed inside the largest purple crystal...
"Zenith!!!"
Paul stared wide-eyed at Zenith, sealed in the magic stone behind the Nine-Headed Dragon! He charged toward her with all his strength, only to be grabbed by the shoulder and flung backward.
"Don't act on your own! Paul, do that again, and I'll kick you out of the party! Understood?!"
Cain stared sternly at Paul, his hand already resting on his sword hilt. Then he turned back toward Zenith inside the Demon Crystal, his brow furrowing.
So the labyrinth really did capture her and turn her into its "heart"...
Damn it!
"Zenith! But Zenith is right there! I have to save her!"
Rujierd and Alexander hurried to restrain Paul, whose eyes had reddened as he struggled desperately.
"Going up against a monster like that would be suicide for you..."
"But if I don't go, who will save her?!"
"I will..."
Cain rolled his shoulders and neck, producing a series of sharp cracks.
"I'm the one who accepted your request, so naturally, I'm the one who'll finish off the boss."
With that, Cain walked slowly and directly toward the Magic Stone Nine-Headed Dragon.
Everyone froze.
"Lord Cain, we'll come with you!"
"Yeah, Cain, count me in!"
