Golden shouted this, but she really just wanted to go out and have fun.
"What kind of date has three people?"
"But woof likes Miluno too! Why not? A date!!"
Doggy started making a fuss.
But I had no intention of going on a date with Barbara today, so naturally, I wouldn't be taking Doggy along either.
"Quiet down. I've had plenty of trouble to deal with lately. How would I have time to bother with dates? But if you behave yourself, I can take you all out once I've finished everything on my plate."
Of course, I'd only said "take you out," not "go on a date."

Doggy was happy as long as she got to go out and play. She picked Barbara up and spun around the living room.
Barbara, however, didn't look nearly as happy in her arms. She seemed hung up on the difference between "a date" and "going out."
Yuehan had been watching soap operas with her, and Barbara, who'd originally known little about feelings, had gradually come to understand the different kinds of "liking" someone...
But didn't soap operas only have that one kind of "liking"?
It looked like finding my "girlfriend" as soon as possible was the only way to make Barbara give up on this idea.
"Miluno, what are your plans for today?" Yuehan asked.
"Well, I need to go out for something."
"Didn't SpiCa tell you not to wander around and to stay home?"
