"Hephaestus, have you recovered the wreckage?"

The Engineering Department was located underground.

Basically all infrastructure related to industry, energy, and research was underground, and the Magical Girl in charge of the Engineering Department was none other than Hephaestus, former director of the Association's Production and Manufacturing Department.

She was a beauty mark-adorned lady with one eye covered, yet she was currently wearing dirty overalls while rummaging through a pile of melted mechanical parts.

"These drones are driven by darkness, and barring accidents, they probably leaped over from the lunar surface. It's still hard to say whether it's Enheria's doing, though..."

"The guys from the Supreme Council are still locked up in the dungeon. The witches and monsters currently remaining on the lunar surface are basically just a bunch of soldiers who only know how to follow orders. They won't actively attack us, so we can basically confirm the identity of the attackers... Do you know where they came from?"

"I don't know. The onboard computer didn't leave behind that kind of information."

Hephaestus said so, and Terra also chimed in:

"I tried on my end as well, but the other party used some sort of method to interfere with the traceback."

"Is there a way to restore these drones?"

"No guarantees. The defense system of the Zodiacal output is too high. As you see, there's basically not a single wreck with an intact structure. Whether we can piece together a complete one remains an unknown... The Engineering Department will try its best to crack their operating system, and if there's a next time, we can interfere through other means."

Having confirmed the existence of the barrier, there probably wouldn't be a next time anyway.

Enheria wouldn't waste her effort for nothing, right?

"Then I'll leave the rest to you."
