Did I seriously have to go to work in this virtual reality?
I'd planned to explore this fictional world after leaving home, treating it like a game, but then my supervisor called me into work. And my job was being a lowly bank teller.
Even if this virtual reality aimed for realism, there was no reason a magical girl like me should still have to work! Where was my stipend from the Association? My bounties for defeating Monsters? Had someone embezzled them?
Despite my complaints, work wasn't actually tiring. It was just incredibly dull.
SpiCa, who managed this little world, clearly hadn't allocated much computing power to my side of things. Not only did this lousy bank have no customers whatsoever, even the water cooler, the computer in front of me, and the manager were modeled with crude polygons...
By the time I got off work, it was already dark.
I walked home through the dark streets, entered the apartment building, and took the elevator upstairs.
Along the way, I loosened my tie and undid my collar. Thinking of Miluno diligently making curry at home in an apron somehow perked me up more and more. It even cured the mental exhaustion I'd accumulated all day.
