Background / History

Origin and early growth

Mi Xue originated as a newborn avatar of the Great Will. Her early body appeared to be around three years old, but she absorbed information constantly and initially left little evidence of deliberate thought; many of her actions were instinctive rather than planned 962.

She was raised within a virtual reality constructed by SpiCa alongside Black Rabbit and the Agent. As she grew, she irreversibly absorbed portions of their personalities and values, allowing her to develop into someone capable of communication, attachment, and independent judgment 1066. She considers Black Rabbit and the Agent her mother and father, respectively, and identifies herself as both the Great Will and her mother’s daughter 965 1066.

Emergence as the Great Will

After absorbing additional power and completing her transformation, Mi Xue entered the Seal Hall as a newly born god. She asserted that life and the world were fundamentally data, proposing to preserve souls and rebuild all existence in a new form rather than allow existing life to remain unchanged 971.

Once freed, she enclosed the moon in a black barrier and accelerated time within the lunar domain. Her actions raised the possibility that she intended to use the moon against the Earth Crystal, forcing Zodiacal and Enheria into an alliance against her 973.

Creation of the New World

Mi Xue created a New World in which humanity was remade as Magical Girls. She established Breeding Facilities for reproduction, Adjustment Facilities for correcting individual Light-Dark imbalances, and population controls intended to prevent the world from exceeding its capacity 1011.

Her ideal was that Magical Girls would become better people and that a balanced world could eliminate conflict. However, the New World quickly demonstrated that changing bodies did not automatically change human behavior; negative emotions still produced horns, instability, and the risk of Witchification 1010.

Mi Xue repeatedly reset and simulated the New World in pursuit of a successful outcome. By the fourteenth known cycle, she could recreate the world’s physical environment almost instantly, but could not animate its inhabitants without returning their real consciousnesses to their data bodies 1113.

Handover, revival, and reconciliation

Mi Xue intended to transfer her authority to Miluno so that she could sacrifice herself to revive her father. Her plan included manipulating popularity and faith within the New World to increase Miluno’s Radiance, even altering unverifiable public data in Miluno’s favor 1080 1098.

After Miluno and Ceruno disrupted her control, Mi Xue publicly acknowledged her failures and asked the inhabitants of the New World to contribute their ideas through the Thought Network rather than rely solely on her simulations 1128.

Mi Xue later vanished and was revived through collective faith, dissatisfaction, and malice. A counterfeit Mi Xue created by the Hive Consciousness also emerged, while the genuine Mi Xue was found in a primitive form lacking her former intelligence 1140 1141. The genuine Mi Xue eventually grew strong enough to confront the counterfeit and merge their opposing aspects, becoming a deity of Light-Dark Balance 1152 1154.

Appearance

Mi Xue’s most familiar incarnation is a small, dark-skinned girl with fluffy white hair. Her appearance and apparent age fluctuate with her development, consciousness, and current vessel 962 970 1126.

Mi Xue combines a childlike manner with the responsibilities and processing capacity of a god. She is playful, mischievous, emotionally expressive, and prone to calling others “Mom,” “Dad,” or “Auntie,” yet she can also make detached, world-altering calculations about resources, consciousnesses, and social order 965 969 1152.

She is deeply attached to her parents and repeatedly pursues their revival even when doing so would require her own death. Her wish to create a better world is sincere, but her fear of irreversible failure drives her toward excessive control, repeated simulations, memory resets, and manipulation 1080 1108 1126.

Later, Mi Xue becomes more willing to accept uncertainty and seek help. Rather than insisting that a god can solve every problem alone, she asks mortals to contribute their judgment to the New World’s development 1128.
