The location marker pointed to the dessert shop right in front of them.
Chen De pushed the door open and spotted Xia Luo at the table farthest inside.
She had her chin propped on one hand, her beret tilted the opposite way today. She was chewing on something and radiating an air of "I have absolutely nothing to do today."
Fei Xiao sat across from her, eating a cake bit by bit with a small fork.
The moment Xia Luo saw Chen De, her eyes lit up and she waved furiously.
"Little sis, over here!"
Chen De stopped short. When he reached the table, he lowered his voice.
"Keep it down."
"Why?"
"This is a dessert shop, not a train station."
Xia Luo thought about it seriously.
"But if I didn't call out, how would you find me?"
"You're sitting right across from the entrance."
Chen De pulled out a chair and sat down.
"Unless we all went blind at once, there's no way we'd miss you."
"I see."
Understanding dawned on Xia Luo, and she pushed her beret back a little.
"Next time, I'll sit with my back to the entrance."
"That's what you took from that?"
Xia Luo had already turned to beckon Lin Xi over.
"Come on, Xiao Xi, sit here."
Lin Xi immediately sat down beside her.
"It's been so long, Xia Luo."
"We barely had a chance to get to know each other last time."
Xia Luo handed her the menu with an especially warm smile.
"Pick whatever you like. I'll order it for you."
"Really?"
Lin Xi took the menu and flipped through a couple of pages. Her tone suddenly grew cautious.
"Can I really order anything?"
"Of course."
"Even the expensive stuff?"
"Yes."
"Even if I can't finish it?"
Xia Luo's smile faltered.
