She was the first elite enemy the future Pirate King, Monkey D. Luffy, encountered after setting out to sea in the original story.

Although she was a complete weakling, she was still a plot character.

Lei En licked his lips, and an unusually benevolent gleam flashed through his eyes.

"Not using her to test the lightning power I just acquired would be such a waste."

At that moment, an utterly ridiculous farce was unfolding aboard the hijacked luxury passenger ship.

Dozens of trembling crew members and passengers were forced to kneel on the deck at knifepoint by a group of ugly, misshapen pirates.

At the very front of the crowd stood a woman so huge that she resembled a mountain of flesh. One hand rested on her hip while the other carried an enormous spiked mace.

She wore a pink striped captain's uniform, stretched taut over her bloated body as though it might burst at any moment.

Her broad, freckled face was plastered with outrageously heavy lipstick, making her look both ridiculous and disgusting.

She was none other than "Iron Mace" Alvida, before she had eaten the Sube-Sube Fruit.

"Listen up, all of you!"

Alvida heavily slammed the mace, thicker than her own head, against the deck with a dull thud.

She raised her voice and shrieked a question at the hostages on the deck in an incredibly sharp, grating tone.

"Now, tell me loudly!"

"Who is the most beautiful woman on this sea?!"

The hostages looked at one another. Their faces had gone pale with fear, and no one dared to speak first.

Come on, calling a sow like that a beauty would be going against their consciences, wouldn't it?

But if they did not say it, the blades in those pirates' hands were not exactly known for having eyes!

"Hm?!"

When Alvida saw that no one answered, her expression darkened and her eyes widened.

"What? Are you lowly fools blind?!"

A timid, plump man who looked like a wealthy merchant shuddered all over and hurriedly answered first.

"It... it's you! Lady Alvida! You are the most beautiful woman on this sea!"

"Hmph, at least you know what's good for you."

Alvida nodded in satisfaction, the fat on her face bunching together.

Just as she was about to continue enjoying the thrill of being flattered, an extremely untimely young voice filled with blatant disgust suddenly rang out from behind her.

They saw a black-haired youth in a black trench coat, strikingly handsome, who had somehow appeared soundlessly on the passenger ship's deck.

Alvida's second-in-command, a tall, skinny pirate, pointed at Lei En in terror.

Lei En ignored him entirely. He only frowned and looked Alvida's enormous body up and down with utter disdain.

"My god, that figure, that face, that sense of style... you must be the legendary ugly freak herself, right?"

Lei En pinched his nose as though he had smelled something unbearably foul.

"Who gave you the courage to become a pirate? Liang Jingru?"

The entire deck fell silent.

The hostages kneeling on the ground widened their eyes and stared at Lei En as though they were looking at a deity.

Good grief!

This kid was seriously brave! He actually dared to call that female tyrannosaur ugly right to her face?!

"Y-you... you... what did you just say?!"

Alvida's body began trembling violently, not from fear but from overwhelming rage!

Her broad face flushed crimson, and a savage light that seemed ready to devour someone burst from her tiny eyes.

"You little brat who doesn't know his place! You actually... actually dared to say I'm ugly?!"

"Was I wrong?"

Lei En spread his hands, looking innocent.

"It's simply the truth. Are ugly people not allowed to be called ugly?"

Alvida was completely set off. She let out a deafening roar, raised the heavy mace with both hands, and swung it down at Lei En's head with all her strength, the weapon howling as it tore through the air!

Even in the face of that savage blow, powerful enough to smash a person into pulp, Lei En's expression remained as calm as ever.

He could not even be bothered to dodge.

He merely slowly raised his right hand and casually extended one finger at the charging Alvida.

Lei En withdrew his finger, looked at Alvida's afro that could practically be called a work of art, and shook his head in disgust.

"Tch, the ionic perm failed. Looks like her hair quality was too poor."

After saying that, Lei En's body transformed once more into an azure bolt of lightning. With a crackle, he vanished from where he stood beneath the stunned, godlike gazes of everyone aboard the ship.

Only his lingering voice remained, echoing through the sea breeze.
