Background

Tang San was born to Tang Hao and Ah Yin in Spirit City. Though physically an infant, he retained the consciousness and memories of his former existence as the dual Sea God and Asura God King; his unnaturally calm demeanor was apparent from birth. 31

His birth triggered Spirit Hall’s pursuit of Ah Yin. After Ah Yin sacrificed herself to create a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring and Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone for Tang Hao, the Asura God King intervened directly, recovered Tang San, and vanished with him. 32 33

Tang San later grew up in Holy Soul Village under Tang Hao’s inconsistent care, with Old Jack providing goat’s milk and practical support during his infancy. 35 Tang Hao eventually realized that Tang San’s body was occupied by an ancient being from another world, but accepted the possession after seeing that the child still inherited both the Clear Sky Hammer and Blue Silver Grass bloodlines. 52 61

Tang San is intensely arrogant about his former status, viewing Spirit Hall’s eventual destruction as proof of his own superiority and dismissing the Sea God position as beneath his ambitions. 31 60 His goals extend beyond regaining his former power: he intends to obtain stronger Soul Rings than before, control the God Realm, and place it under Tang family rule. 65
