Yu Xiaogang is the youngest son of Yu Yuanzhen, leader of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. After awakening the mutated martial soul Luo Sanpao, he endured contempt within the clan for his weak cultivation and low innate Soul Power. He later claimed that his father had always treated him as worthless. 17 25

He spent several years in Spirit City, where he observed Bibi Dong's routine, learned her preferences, and gradually approached her through their shared use of the Library Pavilion. He privately regarded her as already belonging to him and intended to use a relationship with the Spirit Hall Holy Maiden to improve his standing within his clan. 3 17

Yu Xiaogang used the Consecration Token Bibi Dong had given him to examine Spirit Hall records concerning newly awakened children. He selectively targeted commoner youths while avoiding the children of nobles, eventually using those records to identify and approach Tang San. 63

After his relationship with Bibi Dong collapsed, Yu Xiaogang attempted to rebuild his future through the Golden Holy Dragon martial soul fusion. He is calculating in his pursuit of Bibi Dong. He admits that he studied her schedule before approaching her and later reveals that he sought to bring her back to his clan as a powerful asset who would force Yu Yuanzhen to respect him. 17

At the Library Pavilion, Yu Xiaogang offers Qian Chenzhou a Gold Soul Coin and patronizingly calls him “Uncle Gang.” Ghost retaliates on Qian Chenzhou's order, leaving Yu Xiaogang severely injured. Bibi Dong defends him despite the consequences to her own standing. 3 4

While recovering, Yu Xiaogang continues relying on Bibi Dong's affection and resources. He plans for her to leave Spirit Hall with him and return to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. 8 15 16

Exposure and Abandonment

Rong'er draws out Yu Xiaogang's real motives through flattery. He admits that he cultivated Bibi Dong's affection to bring a talented future Titled Douluo back to his clan and gain recognition from his father. Bibi Dong secretly overhears the confession. 17

After Rong'er abandons and beats him, Yu Xiaogang is treated just enough to survive. During his recovery, memories surface in which he calls himself a future Dragon God Douluo and complains that Tang San did not take him to the God Realm. 25

He resolves to obtain the Ninth-grade Purple Ganoderma and recruit Flender and Liu Erlong to form the Golden Holy Dragon, believing this will restore his prospects and eventually let him take revenge on Spirit Hall. 25 26

Encounter with Liu Erlong

Yu Xiaogang and Flender attempt to travel with Liu Erlong, but she rejects him after learning his identity and noting the disparity between her Soul King cultivation and his level in the twenties. Golden Crocodile's pressure then forces Yu Xiaogang to the ground. 55

He obtains a permit for the Sunset Forest by agreeing to escort Zhang Sanwei. While outwardly acting humble toward the academy staff, he secretly plans to damage Zhang Sanwei's cultivation. 66

During the expedition, Yu Xiaogang recommends that Tang San absorb a Mandala Snake. Zhang Sanwei challenges the theory, and Tang San chooses a Blue Silver Grass Soul Ring instead. Zhang Sanwei independently selects a Poison Needle Bee Soul Ring more suited to his Nine Needles martial soul. 68

Poverty and Public Humiliation

After Spirit Hall withdraws its support, Yu Xiaogang loses access to the resources he once relied on. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan also refuses to receive him, forcing him to take odd jobs to survive. 83 84

Qian Chenzhou encounters him working as a waiter in a restaurant and deliberately displays Rong'er's token. The reminder enrages and humiliates Yu Xiaogang, after which Qian Chenzhou forces him to his knees with Soul Power in front of the restaurant patrons. 84

The incident intensifies Yu Xiaogang's hatred of Qian Chenzhou and earns Qian Chenzhou a system reward for causing his public humiliation. 84

Presumed Reincarnation
