Background / History

Yue Xi was originally a Moonlight Deer attacked by three Shadow Wolves on the outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest. Lu Ming intervened, then used Formless Transformation to remake her as an Arrancar with a human body, intelligence, and speech. He gave her the name “Yue Xi.” 11

As Lu Ming's third Arrancar follower, Yue Xi traveled with Zhu Mao and Feng Qie into the forest and helped establish their valley base. Her timid dependence on Lu Ming made her a visible example of the transformations that drew Da Ming, Er Ming, and Xiao Wu's attention. 12 13

After Xiao Wu joined the group under the guise of a lost girl, Yue Xi gradually became close to her. Xiao Wu looked after Yue Xi during the construction of the group’s cabins, and Yue Xi eventually began calling her “Sister Xiao Wu.” 19 20

During the campaign against the Black-Armored Troll and Clawed Terror Demon, Yue Xi remained at the rear as the team’s healer. When Feng Qie was being worn down, she restored his injuries, soul power, and stamina, allowing him to reverse the battle. 24 25

Appearance

Yue Xi has the appearance of a petite human girl formed from a Moonlight Deer. Her gentle appearance and timid manner contrast with the visible mark of her Arrancar transformation.

Personality

Yue Xi is quiet, shy, and initially fearful of unfamiliar people. Soon after her transformation, she constantly followed Lu Ming while clutching the corner of his clothes, treating him as her primary source of safety and belonging. 11 12

She is notably gentle and compassionate. After settling in the valley, she used her healing ability on injured small animals without being asked. 20 Although she is the most timid member of the early Arrancar group, she can overcome her fear when her companions are threatened; when Da Ming and Er Ming approached, she prepared her healing power for battle. 17

With Xiao Wu’s companionship, Yue Xi becomes more cheerful and willing to initiate contact, including taking Xiao Wu’s hand and calling her “Sister Xiao Wu.” 20

Valley Life and Xiao Wu’s Investigation

Yue Xi becomes central to Xiao Wu’s investigation of Lu Ming. Her gentle personality, human speech, healing of animals, and Hollow Hole cause Xiao Wu to question whether Lu Ming’s transformations are truly “evil experiments.” 15 19 20

Blackwood Forest Battle

Yue Xi completes the early Arrancar squad’s combat structure as its healer. Her restoration of Feng Qie’s wounds, soul power, and stamina enables the group to defeat and capture the Black-Armored Troll and Clawed Terror Demon. 24 25
