Background / History

Qian Daoliu was born with the Six-Winged Angel, a God-Given Martial Soul, and innate Level 20 Soul Power. The Angel God’s Supreme Eight Trials selected him as a High Priest rather than a successor: he could serve the Angel inheritance, but was destined to sacrifice his life for the next deity and could not ordinarily become a god himself. 55

As a young Soul Douluo, he travelled with Clear Sky Sect prodigy Tang Chen. The two later visited Sea God Island, where they met Sea God High Priestess Bo Saixi and formed a long-standing rivalry. Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen fought for three days and nights atop Clear Sky Peak; the battle ended in a draw, but Qian Daoliu considered himself spiritually defeated because Tang Chen had forged comparable strength without divine inheritance or Spirit Hall’s resources. 50 56

After reaching Level 99, Qian Daoliu hosted Spirit Hall’s Seven Great Sects Ranking Tournament in Falling Star Valley. The event was intended to stabilize a continent fractured by constant warfare, but Tang Chen’s overwhelming presence forced Spirit Hall to concede Clear Sky Sect’s first-place standing. 27 28 30

His son, Qian Xunji, was gravely wounded by Tang Hao and later killed and devoured by Bibi Dong in the Papal Hall. Golden Crocodile Douluo attempted to avenge Qian Xunji, but Qian Daoliu stopped him because he could not bear for nine-year-old Qian Renxue to lose both parents in one day. 41 45

Former pope Qian Yu entrusted the young Qian Daoliu and Spirit Hall’s future to Golden Crocodile, whose lifelong protection became a source of deep gratitude to him. After Tang Hao wounded Qian Xunji, Qian Daoliu also restrained Golden Crocodile from attacking Clear Sky Sect, fearing a wider continental war. 44

The Ranking Screen later recounted that Qian Daoliu became a Titled Douluo at thirty and reached the Limit Realm at seventy. It praised his undefeated record in the skies and his long service in securing Spirit Hall, while exposing the High Priest’s obligation to burn his life and divine soul to enable an Angel God inheritor’s final trial. That sacrificial fate was subsequently removed. 256 257

Appearance

Qian Daoliu is an aged but imposing man with long golden hair, a solemn expression, and the bearing of a high priest. When he releases his Martial Soul, a gigantic Six-Winged Angel phantom manifests behind him, accompanied by sacred golden radiance. 54

Personality

Qian Daoliu is intensely devout toward the Angel God and Spirit Hall’s ancient legacy. When Qian Yuhan manifested through the Angel God Statue, he immediately knelt, accepted her orders without hesitation, and mobilized Spirit Hall’s intelligence network to locate Lan Yu. 5

He is pragmatic to the point of ruthlessness when he believes Spirit Hall’s survival is at stake. He defended Qian Xunji’s decision to prevent Bibi Dong from leaving the organization, and initially judged his son’s fatal mistake to be leaving Bibi Dong alive afterward. 38 40

Despite this severity, Qian Daoliu’s deepest attachment is to Qian Renxue. He spared Bibi Dong after Qian Xunji’s murder solely to preserve Renxue’s remaining connection to a mother, and later abandoned all composure when reunited with his granddaughter. 45 216

His rivalry with Tang Chen left him insecure about relying on inherited strength, but he eventually accepts that bloodline, inheritance, and institutional support are legitimate forms of power. 56 57

After becoming a True God, Qian Daoliu abandons his earlier restraint toward Clear Sky Sect. He rejects its surrender after its leaders resist him and uses its destruction to demonstrate Spirit Hall’s power to the continent. 238 240 241 242

Qian Daoliu’s primary Martial Soul is the God-Given Six-Winged Angel, evaluated by the Ranking Screen as “Invincible in the sky” and the Angel God’s spokesperson. It later evolves into the Twelve-Winged Seraph. 54 257

The Ranking Screen awakened the sealed Blue Silver Emperor bloodline in Qian Daoliu, granting him a second God-Rank Martial Soul and restoring his body to peak vitality. 58

Douluo Star’s ascension first allowed Qian Daoliu to reach Level 100 through his own cultivation, making him an Unseated True God: a divine being without the formal authority of an inherited Godhood. Lan Yu’s Return

Qian Daoliu first receives Qian Yuhan’s warning that the Ranking Screen has cut off the God Realm’s interference with the lower realm. He is ordered to keep Spirit Hall calm, locate Lan Yu, and treat him with the highest respect. 5

Following Qian Yuhan’s instructions, he enters the sealed chamber beneath Douluo Hall and unlocks the Blue Silver Emperor God Statue. The statue reveals that Lan Yu founded Spirit Hall with Qian Yuhan twenty thousand years earlier and is the progenitor of the Angel Clan’s hidden Blue Silver Emperor lineage. 6

Conflict with Bibi Dong

The Ranking Screen publicly reveals Qian Xunji’s death and Bibi Dong’s Rakshasa God Trial. Qian Daoliu initially attempts to lead the Consecration Hall against her, but Golden Crocodile persuades him that a civil war would endanger Qian Renxue and destroy Spirit Hall’s stability. 40 41

He later learns that his decision to spare Bibi Dong after Qian Xunji’s murder was motivated by his fear that Renxue would otherwise become a complete orphan. 45

After Lan Yu’s return, Qian Daoliu orders Bibi Dong to submit for judgment, removes her papal authority, and places Spirit Hall’s forces under Qian Renxue. He later seeks Lan Yu’s guidance because Bibi Dong’s Rakshasa power might endanger Spirit City, only to learn that Lan Yu has already sealed it. 218 227 228

Ranking Reward and Demigod Breakthrough

The Ranking Screen places Qian Daoliu third among the Ten Peak Soul Masters, identifying him as Spirit Hall’s Great Elder, Angel Temple High Priest, and master of Douluo Hall. 54

The subsequent reward revives the Qian Clan’s sealed Blue Silver Emperor bloodline within him. He awakens the Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul, regains his youth and vitality, and breaks into the True Demigod realm. 58

Qian Renxue’s Rescue

When Qian Renxue’s Blue Silver Emperor awakening exposes her identity in Heaven Dou City, Qian Daoliu leads Golden Crocodile, Azure Luan, and Light Feather to retrieve her. He crushes the siege around the Eastern Palace with Demigod pressure and tells her to return home with him. 60

Service to the Blue Ancestor

After Lan Yu separates Lan Xue’s true spirit from Qian Renxue and purifies Renxue’s body, Qian Daoliu recognizes Lan Yu in person as the Blue Ancestor. He and the other Consecrators kneel before Lan Yu and Lan Xue. 215

Qian Daoliu supports Lan Yu’s decree that Qian Renxue should become Spirit Hall’s rightful heir and future founding Empress of the Angel Empire. He vows that the Qian Clan and Consecration Hall will remain under the Blue Ancestor’s grace. 216

Ascension and Continental Unification

When Douluo Star’s ascension lifts the plane’s cultivation ceiling, Qian Daoliu breaks through to Level 100 as an Unseated True God. He thanks Lan Yu, who attributes the breakthrough to Qian Daoliu’s long-cultivated foundation. Qian Daoliu and the Consecrators pledge to continue protecting the ascended world. 225 227

After Lan Yu appoints Qian Renxue Pope, Qian Daoliu volunteers to lead Spirit Hall’s first campaign against Clear Sky Sect. Acting alone, he dismisses its old pact with Tang Chen, offers it a brief chance to submit, and defeats Tang Xiao and the elders when they resist. He rejects their subsequent surrender and destroys the sect’s main stronghold with his Tenth Divine Skill, then orders a hunt for its remaining members and affiliates. 237 238 239 240 241 242

Qian Daoliu subsequently issues an ultimatum demanding the submission of the two empires and major sects. At Qian Renxue’s coronation as the first Empress of the unified Spirit Hall Empire, he publicly reinforces her authority with his divine power. 246 248

Liberation from the Angel Sacrifice

On the later Peak Power Rankings, Qian Daoliu places ninth. The Ranking Screen revisits his Six-Winged Angel inheritance and publicly details the High Priest’s ordained sacrifice, despite his earlier Level 100 breakthrough. Qian Renxue declares that she would reject Angel godhood rather than accept his death. 256 257

Lan Yu denounces the sacrificial requirement, and the Ranking Screen severs Qian Daoliu’s Angel God Servant Contract. It evolves his Martial Soul into the Twelve-Winged Seraph, raises him to the First-Level Deity known as the Great Light God, and transforms his sword into the Light Judgment Blade. Freed from the obligation to die for Qian Renxue, Qian Daoliu pledges his loyalty to Lan Yu and vows to protect her. 257 258
