Barton was thoroughly pleased and could hardly wait. "Then hurry up. Let's keep hunting the Otherworlders and drag those monsters out. I'm going to avenge my men!"

Bone Kite agreed.
But Blood Fiend watched from the sidelines, unable to shake the feeling that something was wrong. There was something strange about this whole affair.

Was he trying to get on Barton's good side?

Zombie Kings from other provinces like them did hold Central Province in some awe.

Blood Fiend couldn't figure it out, so he simply stopped thinking about it and decided to keep hunting the Otherworlders.
They stuck to their earlier strategy. The Zombie Kings would split up, but remain close enough to support one another.
"Everyone, keep moving. Those Otherworlders are fighting a guerrilla war against us. They could show up at any moment. If anything happens, make sure you contact the others immediately."

Leading their respective underlings, they soon vanished into the boundless darkness.
Low zombie growls filled the pitch-black valley, as though hordes of evil spirits were searching for prey.
