Their normal form was a die, which changed randomly according to the number rolled.

One meant a human, two meant a scale weight, three meant a penguin, four meant roll again, five meant a pot lid—round shield—and six meant the Ding-Dong Brothers.

Ever since the die had come into Alice's hands, for some unknown reason, it had rolled nothing but sixes—the Ding-Dong Brothers.

Only Alice and Aoko lived in the enormous Western-style mansion, making cleaning a troublesome task.

Both Alice and Aoko had to attend school, so while the mansion stood empty during the day, Alice arranged for the Ding-Dong Brothers to come out and clean.

The Ding-Dong Brothers' combat ability was truly beyond words, but they were more than capable of cleaning.

Alice put them in charge of the mansion's housekeeping. The Ding-Dong Brothers also understood that their position was awkward, so to avoid being abandoned by their mistress, they sometimes did extra work, such as bringing in the laundry.

This time had been a coincidence. Aoko had been in a rush to get to school that morning. Careless as she was, she gathered the clothes but forgot her underwear.
