Aoko stared dumbfoundedly at the two leaving the room, trembling as she pointed back and forth between Yuan Shikai and Alice.
As if she had developed a stutter, she kept repeating, "You..." Yet the next word, "two," seemed stuck in her throat and would not come out.
She was stunned by the sight before her. Her fiancé and her roommate and teacher, Alice, had emerged from the same room at four in the morning.
And it had been Alice's room. That proved they had spent the night together. Could it be that they had slept together last night?!
Pah, pah, pah. How could she jump to conclusions like that? Maybe she had misunderstood.
Aoko took a deep breath and tried to suppress her heart, which was pounding violently from her rising blood pressure.
Aoko: "What is going on with you two? What happened last night? Why did you come out of the room together?"

Her roommate usually had decent sleeping habits. Whenever she occasionally fell asleep during a midday break, she looked like a porcelain doll.
There was no way such a messy bed could have been her doing. And the pillow and sheets clearly bore the traces of two people sleeping there.
