Background

Li Qinglian was originally the Death Divine Tree, a being born from heaven and earth whose authority concerns death and reincarnation. He cultivated for ten thousand years in the Star Dou Great Forest until reaching the hundred-thousand-year level, then rebuilt himself into a human body following his tribulation. Unlike ordinary transformed soul beasts, he began with Innate Soul Power Rank 20, two Thousand-Year rings, and a body capable of concealing his soul-beast aura. 2 16 27

His rebirth reduced his accumulated cultivation but gave him the growth potential of humanity. Gu Yuena considers humans the most suitable vessels for absorbing other beings' power, while Li Qinglian combines that potential with the innate bloodline of a divine tree. 5

The Goddess of Life, Wen Wan, and Gu Yuena protect his existence from the God Realm. A new Death God King would threaten gods that have divided death's authority among themselves, particularly the God of Destruction, God of Evil, and Asura God. 5 14
