After learning how severely public opinion has turned against Spirit Hall, Qian Xunji accepts responsibility for the crisis and orders the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect's annihilation. The sect's destruction subsequently deters other major powers. 31 33 38

Qian Daoliu opens the attack with Angel's Breath, killing more than half the clan while its members sleep. Qian Xunji then orders Spirit Hall's troops to attack the survivors, completing an overwhelming campaign that demonstrates the organization's military superiority. 34

Cabinet Rule and Continental Ambition

To escape routine work, Qian Xunji establishes the Cabinet and delegates much of Spirit Hall's governance. The arrangement becomes effective enough for him to travel extensively with A Yin and their children. 33 45

He later reveals that he no longer wishes for Spirit Hall merely to act as the continent's guardian. He intends to unify the continent under Spirit Hall, believing this would end the recurring wars between the two great empires. 50

Qian Renfeng uses his knowledge of Dugu Bo's hereditary poisoning to secure his allegiance in exchange for treatment, with Qian Xunji approving his son's handling of the recruitment. Yue Guan and Gui Mei recruit blacksmiths and stockpile forging materials during the family's travels. After their return, Qian Xunji lets his son take charge and considers the future possibility of combining hidden weapons with Soul Tools. 156
