History

Spirit Hall had endured for ten thousand years as a major Soul Master institution. It was historically regarded as a guardian of the continent: pursuing fallen Soul Masters, maintaining order, mediating between the two empires, and providing a sacred center for Soul Masters. Its Angel God's inheritance and the Qian Clan's Six-Winged Angel martial soul sustained its long-term strength. 44 50

Under Pope Qian Xunji, Spirit Hall publicly punished the Saintess Bibi Dong for attempting to abandon the organization for Yu Xiaogang and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect. Her cultivation, twin martial souls, and Spider Emperor bloodline were destroyed before she was expelled from the Papal Palace; the office of Saintess was abolished. 1 2

The punishment created a continent-wide scandal. During Qian Xunji's year-long absence, the Consecration Hall was forced to manage Papal Palace affairs, contain public anger, and relocate Bibi Dong after Spirit City's residents threatened her life. Spirit Hall's inaction against the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect led to internal resentment and the mocking epithet “Coward Hall.” 20 24 31

After Qian Xunji returned, Spirit Hall treated the sect's year of silence as a refusal to atone. It launched a night assault that annihilated the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect and pursued surviving holders of its martial soul lineage. The operation restored Spirit Hall's prestige but convinced rival factions that the organization had shifted from protector to expansionist power. 34 37 44

Spirit Hall later filled the destroyed sect's Upper Three Sects position by elevating the Holy Dragon Sect, rewarding its early pledge of allegiance. This split the former unity of the Seven Great Sects and established the Holy Dragon Sect as an openly subordinate ally. 42 43 51

Organization

Papal Palace

The Papal Palace serves as Spirit Hall's executive center, with the Pope holding authority over official policy, punishment, appointments, and military orders. Qian Xunji returned to an extensive backlog after his absence, demonstrating that much of the institution's administration required papal approval. 31 33

To reduce this burden, Qian Xunji established a Cabinet system. The Cabinet later handled roughly ninety percent of Spirit Hall's administrative affairs, allowing the Pope to retain final authority while delegating routine governance. Yue Guan, Gui Mei, and three crimson-robed bishops were associated with this delegated administration. 31 45

Consecration Hall

The Consecration Hall is described as Spirit Hall's “true foundation.” Located on Divine Mountain in Spirit City, it contains a massive Six-Winged Angel statue and is staffed by elders who are each at least Super Douluo. 7

Children who awaken soul power may choose to join Spirit Hall and attend Spirit Academy; enrollment is not compulsory. Branch stewards escort children from poor or distant families to Spirit City when necessary. 110

Spirit Academy is one of the three great academies of the Soul Master world and is divided into Junior and Advanced Soul Master Academies. It is described as the largest academy in the world, with stronger teachers than the royal academies and a student body drawn largely from commoner families. 106 110

At the Junior Academy's opening ceremony, Qian Xunji defined its institutional message: students would be treated as members of the Spirit Hall family regardless of origin or talent, and would become the organization's future personnel across its branch network. 113

Spirit Hall's senior leadership treats betrayal as an institutional threat rather than a private offense. Qian Xunji and several consecrators argued that leniency toward Bibi Dong would encourage other Soul Masters to exploit the organization and leave without consequence. 7

The Bibi Dong affair established an exceptionally severe precedent: stripping cultivation and martial souls, public expulsion, and lifelong humiliation rather than execution. 2 7

Internal discipline
