Joker Lady

"I have something that can prove my identity! My Flash Suit can prove what I'm saying!"

Barry Allen took out a ring and gave it a light tap under Batman's watchful gaze.

A yellow bodysuit sprang out of the ring.

"It's Reverse-Flash!"

"Reverse-Flash came to this world with me. The chaos in this world must be his doing too!" Barry Allen sounded as though he were gritting his teeth.

"You mean Bruce didn't die in that world?" Batman's words inadvertently confirmed that he was Thomas Wayne.

"So I need your help to let me regain the Speed Force."

Barry looked troubled as he surveyed the Batcave, which reeked of wine. "Looks like the easy method won't work. But we can use a more primitive one. I gained the Speed Force after being struck by lightning, so I need your help."

"Struck by lightning?"

Batman was just about to ask whether the young man in front of him was mentally sound.

"HAHAHAHA!!"

A bizarre laugh interrupted their conversation.

The door was kicked off with a BANG, and a wildly spinning yo-yo followed close behind, smashing toward Batman's head.

Batman dodged immediately, but he still could not avoid being struck in the back by the yo-yo.

He hit the ground hard.

"Harley Quinn?" Barry Allen asked as he looked at the Joker girl swinging her yo-yo.

"It's Yoyo!"

The yo-yo in Yoyo's hand changed direction and whipped toward Barry's neck.

She hated it when people got her name wrong. Besides, the name "Harley Quinn" instinctively disgusted her.

The deadly yo-yo showed no mercy, but Batman was even faster. He tackled Barry Allen to the ground. "Her yo-yo can cut off someone's neck!"

"Hee hee hee. I'm sure Joker Lady will be very happy if I bring her your head, Bruce Wayne!" Yoyo swung the yo-yo in her right hand up and down as she slowly approached them.

As far as she was concerned, the two of them were already trapped prey.

"Why do you know too?" Batman's nostrils flared as he snorted like an enraged lion.

His right hand had already reached toward his waist, a dangerous signal to Barry Allen beside him.

"Toyman already found out who you are! Bruce Wayne... why haven't I heard that name before?" Yoyo tapped her vivid red lips with a finger and frowned in thought, completely failing to notice Batman's movement.

"No! Thomas!"

Barry Allen cried out.

He lunged at Batman and, at the most critical moment, changed the direction of the gun in Batman's hand.

The bullet struck Yoyo's arm.

The tide of battle seemed to change in that instant.

"Don't kill, Thomas!" Barry pinned Batman down, trying to stop his murderous madness.

Yoyo took the opportunity to flee, clutching her injured arm.

"Toyman... it seems he came from your world too. When I pursued him two days ago, he behaved very strangely." Batman calmly pushed Barry Allen away.

There was no need to chase a desperate enemy. Besides, the Joker girl Yoyo was her subordinate.

Batman, Thomas Wayne, who had zero tolerance for criminals, might only be able to tolerate her.

"He can turn everything he touches into toys. He's a madman who likes collecting toy figurines. And judging by what Yoyo said, he's already escaped from Arkham! We may have run into a problem." Batman's voice remained steady. No matter who stood beneath the bat cowl, as long as they were Batman, they would never fear the appearance of any criminal.

"But Toyman doesn't exist in my world!" Barry was even more shocked that a supervillain he had never heard of knew a secret that should have belonged to him alone.

While Barry Allen and Thomas Wayne discussed matters,

Outside the Batcave, rain poured down in sheets.

Li Zu walked slowly through the rain.

"This is a Flashpoint World created by Flash. Everything was caused by him recklessly altering history. Though he didn't really alter it all that recklessly—he just saved his damned mother~"

"So, where should I go?"

His heart pounded wildly. Was it fear, or excitement? It was hard to say.

Yoyo's bedraggled figure rushed into the curtain of rain.

"Damn Batman!" Her voice sounded hostile. "It's time we completed Joker Lady's mission!"

"A mission?" Li Zu's eyes lit up this time. No one knew what he had thought of again.

A bright purple car was parked in front of City Hall.

The sky was pitch-black.

Li Zu glanced at the Joker girl clutching her profusely bleeding arm and calmly said, "You're hurt. Leave it to me~"

"If you mess this up, she'll be very angry~" Yoyo showed no gratitude whatsoever for Li Zu's offer of help. Instead, she mocked him.

"Is that so?"

Li Zu pushed open the car door and stepped into the rain, ignoring the torrential downpour that had already soaked him through.

He walked up to City Hall.

The security guards on either side instinctively raised their batons.

"What do you want?" asked the Black security guard on the left, lowering his head. Li Zu's thin figure looked frail and tiny before his upright-black-bear-like build.

"I'm looking for Mr. Dent... Harvey Dent!" he emphasized, raising a hand to straighten his drenched collar like a gentleman who cared about his appearance.

"It's already late at night. Mr. Dent isn't here!"

"Thank you~"

Li Zu nodded with a smile and calmly turned around to return to the car.

His strange behavior left the two security guards unable to make sense of his intentions.

"Why did you come back? I thought you were going to bring Harvey Dent's two children back!" The Joker girl Yoyo looked at Li Zu strangely. Even her crazed mind seemed unable to understand his actions.

"He got off work. He's not here~" Li Zu spread his hands. "I can explain it clearly to Joker Lady. You don't need to worry!"

"Of course I'm not worried! You're the one who should worry, you idiot who deliberately failed to complete the mission!" Whenever Yoyo mentioned Joker, the worship and affection in her eyes always made Li Zu's thoughts wander toward her relationship with Joker.

The car drove steadily down the road, even stopping at red lights.

Li Zu's "law-abiding" behavior immediately enraged Yoyo. She shoved Li Zu aside, grabbed the steering wheel with one hand, and drove toward Joker's location.

"Capture the son and daughter of Gotham City Hall's honorary peace officer, Harvey Dent."

That was the mission Joker Lady had assigned.

Compared to capturing two pitiful children, Li Zu was more interested in Joker Lady.

And he seemed very confident in his own strength.

A deranged head full of deranged confidence was perfectly normal.

The car arrived in the suburbs.

The dried refuse in the factory drainage ditch, mixed with rainwater and the rotten stench of the sewers, made one want to vomit up every piece of toast eaten that morning.

Beyond two coast redwoods stood a villa swaying in the heavy rain.

Before the huge floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor, a figure in a purple suit could seemingly be seen through the hazy frosted glass, watching Li Zu and the Joker girl Yoyo inside the car.

The two went up to the second floor.

On the railing of the old wooden staircase hung wallpaper depicting the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child.

The Christ Child's face had been painted with a bloody smile in red paint.

It was a very eerie smile.

They stepped across the sticky floor and headed inside.

They pushed open the door.

Lightning flashed outside the window, brightly illuminating the unlit room.

An overturned liquor table, a leather sofa riddled with bullet holes, a wineglass with its stem broken off, and a green-haired woman in a purple suit with her back to the door.

Joker... Lady!
