Identity

Yoyo strongly rejects being called “Harley Quinn,” a name she associates with another Joker-linked woman. She first corrects Barry Allen after he identifies her by that name, declaring, “It’s Yoyo!” 11

Although she later introduces herself as Harley Quinn and is widely known by that identity, she insists she is distinct from the deceased Harley Quinn of Gotham, despite their identical appearance, similar behavior, and shared history with Joker-related figures. People who continue to call her by the wrong name are violently punished. 212 288 318

After gaining public notoriety, she has a Gotham boulevard renamed Harley Quinn Yoyo Boulevard, making her preferred identity known throughout the city. 303

Background

Yoyo initially served Joker Lady in the Flashpoint world. Armed with a weaponized yo-yo, she attacked Thomas Wayne's Batman and Barry Allen under orders to kill Batman and seize Harvey Dent's children. Her devotion to Joker Lady was absolute, but not reciprocated. 11

When Yoyo revealed Batman's identity as Bruce Wayne, Joker Lady immediately shot her several times for speaking the name. Li Zu later found her restored without scars, supplied her with clothing, and told her that Joker Lady was dead. Yoyo resumed using her colorful Harley Quinn outfit and signature yo-yo. 12 59

She subsequently became Li Zu's frequent partner across multiple worlds. Their relationship developed from mutual usefulness into a familiar criminal partnership: Yoyo called him “Barbie Boy,” then “Sweetheart” and “Pudding,” while Li Zu relied on her enthusiasm for violence and willingness to follow dangerous leads. 60 64 80

In Oakmont and Innsmouth, she accompanied Li Zu through investigations involving Deep Ones, Dagon cultists, and other supernatural threats. In the Umbrella-controlled world, Harley rescued Li Zu during a battle with a mutated monster, using a motorcycle as a projectile before giving him her bat to stand.
