Thomas Wayne’s Batman first appears on a Gotham rooftop, where he assaults Li Zu while demanding Joker’s location. He shoots beside Li Zu’s head, interrogates him violently, and drops him from the building; Cyborg rescues Li Zu before he hits the ground. When Cyborg attempts to recruit heroes for an impending conflict, Batman refuses to join and leaves, causing much of the group to withdraw as well 1.

Barry Allen later infiltrates Batman’s Batcave and addresses him as “Bruce,” prompting a furious response. Batman breaks Barry’s fingers while demanding to know why he knows the name. The confrontation confirms that this Batman is Thomas Wayne, operating in a changed Gotham where he kills criminals and keeps a firearm in his cave 10 11.
