Judgment Day Has Arrived

Inside the villa, Lu Xi's phone suddenly rang.

He picked it up, listened for a few moments after answering, and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly before he hung up.

Daisy asked curiously, "What is it?"

Lu Xi chuckled. "Ha, I'm heading out for a bit. I'll be back soon."

The call had come from Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D., asking for help.

The situation was urgent, and Lu Xi had not yet decided what terms to demand, so he simply had S.H.I.E.L.D. offer him a blank check.

He figured S.H.I.E.L.D. really was desperate if they were willing to agree to those terms.

If Lu Xi asked to be director someday, or demanded ten billion or so, Nick Fury would probably be in an awkward spot.

In truth, even if he did not go, Hulk could handle Abomination with his own strength.

But since he had come to the Marvel world, and Ancient One's attitude had already been made clear, he did not need to worry too much about the butterfly effect.

Lu Xi also wanted to stretch his muscles, make an appearance, and formally announce his arrival to this world.

The moment he finished speaking, Lu Xi appeared in the courtyard. Six wings unfurled behind his back, radiating dazzling light.

Accompanied by a deafening sonic boom, he shot into the sky like a bolt of white lightning.

Seeing this, Daisy immediately looked excitedly toward the television.

Last time, at the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, she had only heard that Lord Lucifer had defeated a Hell demon king.

But the emergency evacuation notice had prevented her from seeing it with her own eyes. This time, she finally had the chance to witness Lord Lucifer's splendor firsthand.

Wanda and Pietro immediately perked up as well, their eyes fixed on the television screen in anticipation.

In less than two seconds, Lu Xi's conspicuous figure appeared on the broadcast.

His six wings were spread wide behind him, and a terrifying aura emanated from his body, drawing gasps of alarm from passersby.

"Am I seeing things? Is that an Angel?"

"Oh my god, has Judgment Day arrived? Is the world ending?"

"Look, the Angel is here to deal with that monster!"

The moment Lu Xi appeared, Abomination sensed a powerful threat.

He abandoned the helicopter at once, turned, and lunged at Lu Xi with a deep roar.

A trace of disdain rested on Lu Xi's lips. With a flash, he appeared behind Abomination.

He raised his leg and kicked Abomination squarely in the back.

The force behind that kick was terrifying. Abomination's massive body flew out of control like a kite with its string cut.

He traced an arc through the air and hurtled straight toward an office building.

The office workers inside watched helplessly as Abomination's enormous face drew closer and closer, their expressions instantly filling with terror.

Some could not help letting out desperate screams.

"Mom! Help!"

Lu Xi reacted swiftly, raising a hand and making a grasping motion toward Abomination.

In an instant, invisible telekinetic force formed a giant hand and pinned Abomination in midair.

The office workers, having narrowly escaped disaster, immediately erupted into cheers.

They hugged one another and wept with excitement, thanking the mysterious powerhouse who seemed like a savior.

When Hulk saw Lu Xi join the battle, he seemed to instinctively regard him as an enemy.

"Roar!"

His eyes instantly turned blood-red, every muscle in his body bulging as he raised his enormous fist and let out a thunderous roar, charging furiously toward Lu Xi.

Lu Xi frowned slightly. In his eyes, Hulk's fierce attack looked like it was playing in slow motion, every detail crystal clear.

Hulk's fist howled through the air, carrying tremendous force as it smashed viciously toward him.

Lu Xi merely tilted his body slightly and casually raised a palm to block the enormous fist.

The difference in their size was simply too great. Hulk stood a full 2.7 meters tall, his body packed with bulging muscles and a frightening sense of power.

Lu Xi, at 1.88 meters, appeared comparatively small before him.

The sight made the surrounding onlookers, as well as viewers watching the live broadcast on television, cry out in alarm.

Some more timid civilians could not bear to watch the brutal scene they expected to follow and hurriedly covered their eyes.

Yet the bloody scene they feared did not occur.

Hulk's punch was firmly caught, as though clamped in a pair of iron pincers, unable to advance even an inch.

The fury on Hulk's face instantly turned into disbelief.

His bloodshot eyes widened as if he could not believe what stood before him.

Then he erupted with a deafening roar:

"Hulk smash!"

The sound was like a heavy hammer blow, making the surrounding air hum.

Before the echo had faded, Hulk swung his other fist, as large as a casserole pot, and smashed it toward Lu Xi again with overwhelming force.

The air shrieked sharply as the fist cut through it.

"Bang!"

A dull impact sounded. Lu Xi's expression remained unchanged as he precisely blocked the fatal strike with his other hand as well.

Then he applied a little downward force with his wrist. The motion looked casual, yet it contained boundless strength.

"Aaargh!!!"

Hulk let out a pained howl. A piercing pain shot through his restrained joints, twisting his features in agony.

To ease the unbearable pressure, Hulk involuntarily dropped to one knee, lowering the center of gravity of his massive body.

Lu Xi's lips curled into an amused smile as he teased, "Even when I gave you a chance, you still couldn't make it work."

Then he backhanded Hulk across the head with lightning speed.

The power in that slap was astonishing. Hulk instantly spun at high speed like a wildly spinning top.

Then he flew hundreds of meters away.

Watching Hulk's ridiculous appearance, Lu Xi could not help supplying background music in his mind.

Spinning~ jumping~ I close my eyes~~

He ignored Hulk and turned his attention back to Abomination.

Abomination was still pinned in midair, his limbs flailing wildly with nothing to push against.

Yet he remained unwilling to submit, struggling desperately and releasing low growls to vent his rage.

Lu Xi narrowed his eyes slightly, clenched his outstretched hand again, and tightened it sharply.

With that motion, Abomination's limbs were instantly twisted viciously by invisible force, contorted into the shape of pretzels.

"Aaaah!!!"

Abomination let out a shrill scream filled with pain.

At last, he could hold on no longer. His eyes rolled back, and he passed out on the spot.

Seeing that the task was complete, Lu Xi stretched lazily.

This battle had not taken much effort from him at all.

If anything, he had needed to carefully hold back so he would not hit too hard.

After all, when S.H.I.E.L.D. had asked for help, they had specifically mentioned that they wanted him alive. Otherwise, with Lu Xi's strength, he would have punched Abomination until not even scraps remained.

Hulk crashed heavily to the ground in the distance and only regained consciousness after quite a while.

When he saw that the battle was already over and looked at Lu Xi again, a deep fear unconsciously appeared in his eyes.

He knew the gap between his own strength and that of the powerhouse before him was like the difference between heaven and earth. He was no match at all.

So he did not dare linger any longer. Turning around, he leaped and ran swiftly out of the city, his retreat looking rather pathetic.

Lu Xi could not be bothered to chase him. Once the Avengers plot began, S.H.I.E.L.D. would most likely still seek out Dr. Banner to join.
