Lu Xi arrived in the Marvel world as a winged powerhouse, drew the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra, and began helping people while making contracts for their souls. The arc left him empowered by Peggy Carter’s agreement to become an Angel, with a promise to restore Steve Rogers and give them both decades of life.

• Lu Xi fell from space into Daisy Lewis’s yard, learned she believed him to be Lucifer, and joined Coulson at S.H.I.E.L.D. as Mephisto’s demons attacked the base.
• Lu Xi destroyed Mephisto’s projection and closed the rift to Hell, while the Ancient One trapped Mephisto’s escaping soul fragment and invited Lu Xi to visit him.
• Lu Xi settled into a villa under S.H.I.E.L.D.’s watch, met the Ancient One, and began studying magic while Hydra considered how to approach him.
• Lu Xi told Wanda Maximoff that Hydra, not Tony Stark, was responsible for her parents’ deaths, then rescued Pietro from Baron Strucker and brought him to the villa.
• Lu Xi defeated Abomination and repelled Hulk, and Daisy gained wings and superhuman abilities after a feather fused with her.

Lu Xi exposed Hydra’s ties to Sokovia, warned S.H.I.E.L.D. about future threats, and faced a coalition of demon gods attacking Earth. After defeating the invasion and taking Mephisto’s territory, he discovered that Wanda’s awakened Chaos Magic carried Chthon’s mark.

• Lu Xi identified Pierce as a Hydra leader, accepted Hydra’s loyalty, and ordered him to purge Strucker’s faction after records confirmed Strucker’s arms deals with Obadiah.
• When General Ross threatened to seize him, Lu Xi demonstrated his power in the Arctic and then warned American officials against trying to control him.
• Lu Xi struck a deal with Nick Fury to reveal future crises, exposing the Skrulls’ infiltration and warning of an Asgardian prince and an alien attack on New York.
• At Tony Stark’s party, Tony learned Pepper had traded her soul for his survival, confronted Lu Xi, and refused to make a soul deal after Pepper stopped him.
• The original Lucifer explained Lu Xi’s place as his purest variant and showed him demon gods forcing Black-Winged Lucifer to lead an attack on Earth.
• The Hand’s ritual opened a rift to Hell, and Lu Xi killed its leaders before entering the dimension to fight Mephisto, Chthon, and Cyttorak.
• Lu Xi absorbed Black-Winged Lucifer’s powers, defeated Mephisto, and secured Mephisto’s soul and territory through a contract.

Lu Xi became Sorcerer Supreme and Asgard’s All-Father while expanding his influence through Hell’s contracts and alliances with S.H.I.E.L.D. He returned to Earth with Lorelei and Sif, recruited agents for Kamar-Taj, and prepared the sorcerers to work with secular organizations.

• Ancient One named Lu Xi his successor as Sorcerer Supreme, and Lu Xi offered Kamar-Taj sorcerers unlimited magic in exchange for Soul Contracts.
• Lu Xi tested Hydra’s brainwashing, contracted several members, and arranged for Bucky Barnes to crash into Doctor Stephen Strange while keeping Strange alive.
• Lu Xi lifted Mjolnir, helped Thor reclaim his powers, stopped Loki’s plot in Asgard, and fought Odin when the All-Father’s failing condition made him attack.
• Odin appointed Lu Xi the new All-Father and transferred Asgard’s Divine Power authority to him, while Lu Xi agreed to care for Asgard and Thor.
• Lu Xi arranged trials for Stephen Strange and returned to Earth with Lorelei, Sif, and an all-female Throne Guard, then gave Wanda the Darkhold.

The arc ended with Lu Xi leaving the moon split, revealing the Inhumans’ presence there and offering Black Bolt their safety in exchange for their souls.

• Lu Xi made Laufey a long-term source of elemental magic, then traded Steve’s soul for Bucky’s freedom and Peggy’s restored youth.
• Peggy, Steve, and Bucky investigated Hydra’s infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D., while Lu Xi gained power over Earth-19998’s Cosmic Authority and secured a way to contact the Watcher.
• Nick Fury uncovered Hydra’s control of S.H.I.E.L.D. and escaped to Kamar-Taj, but Lu Xi revealed that Pierce and Hydra answered to him and persuaded Fury’s allies to sign soul contracts.
