Special Investigator of the Ministry of Magic
"Lord Lai, the radicals in the Soviet Union have started to move; we can begin our Christmas plans!"
After receiving Sang Biao's message, Lester gave a wicked smile to himself in the mirror and activated Boggart's shapeshifting ability.
A few seconds later, a plump woman dressed in pink appeared in front of the mirror.
"I am Umbridge, a Special Investigator from the Ministry of Magic, in charge of investigating the corruption and bribery allegations against Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts Headmaster!"
After rehearsing the upcoming conversation in front of the mirror, Lester left the room satisfied.
At Hogwarts School, all the professors knew about Diagon Alley, and everything was in chaos.
The Soviet Union wizards are demanding that the England Ministry of Magic hand over Dumbledore, and even calling the headmaster a warmonger—are they dreaming?
Although it seemed unbelievable, the deed was done, and Headmaster Dumbledore, as the person involved, still went to Diagon Alley in person.
"Someone must be trying to frame Albus."
Professor McGonagall waited anxiously in the Headmaster's Office.
With Dumbledore gone, the management of Hogwarts fell back into her hands as the vice-headmaster.
Just as Professor McGonagall was checking the latest situation in Diagon Alley, trying to find out what had happened, a slow, deliberate knock came from outside the door.
"Is anyone home? Albus Dumbledore in his Headmaster's Office?"
The voice was extremely shrill, and one could immediately tell that the owner of the voice was a mean and sarcastic person.
Professor McGonagall frowned, opened the door to the Headmaster's Office, and saw an old woman dressed entirely in pink.
"Hello, you must be Professor McGonagall Minerva McGonagall, the Vice-Headmistress of Hogwarts."
The old woman greeted McGonagall very familiarly and then entered the Headmaster's Office.
Professor McGonagall was very wary and asked, "Who are you? You can't enter the Headmaster's Office at Hogwarts without permission. Get out now!"
The plump woman Umbridge, chuckled dismissively. "I'm a top-level investigator from the Ministry of Ministry of Magic. Someone reported that the headmaster of Hogwarts is involved in bribery and corruption, so I'm here to investigate."
This pink toad must be crazy to come here to investigate Dumbledore embezzlement and bribery!
"Headmaster Dumbledore is not here," McGonagall said coldly. "Now, please leave. No outsiders are allowed to enter Hogwarts without permission."
Even if Dumbledore Dumbledore here, it wouldn't be the place for a Ministry of Magic official to interfere.
"I'm sorry, Professor McGonagall!" Umbridge said apologetically, "This is an order from Chief Fudge; Hogwarts cannot refuse!"
McGonagall's face turned cold. She drew her wand and said coldly, "Now, get out. I don't want to repeat myself!"
"As expected, Director Fudge was right. Your Hogwarts professors have long been in cahoots with Dumbledore; they're all in cahoots!"
Umbridge, without any hesitation, drew her wand and said forcefully:
"This is an order from the Ministry of Magic. Now, get out of here! I need to inspect Dumbledore's office!"
Professor McGonagall was furious. The Ministry of Magic was forcibly searching Dumbledore's office and telling him to get out—what was the difference between that and slapping her in the face?
"Since you're unwilling to leave, then I'll have to offend you," Professor McGonagall said coldly, assuming a fighting stance.
Umbridge, unfazed, drew her pink wand.
"Disarming Charm!"
"Stunning Spell!"
The two spells collided in the office with a loud bang, and papers on the principal's desk flew everywhere.
McGonagall was quite surprised to see her Disarming Charm blocked by this Ministry of Magic official.
She's the Vice-Headmaster of Hogwarts! How could this unknown, overweight woman withstand her Disarming Charm?
Although surprised, Professor McGonagall Professor McGonagall acted swiftly. After the first spell was blocked, she quickly waved her wand.
One Disarming Charm after another shot out from her wand, swiftly attacking Umbridge.
Lester remained calm, his wand flashing rapidly as he unleashed several spells at Professor McGonagall.
In just half a month, he exchanged for another Doran's Ring. Now with three Doran's Rings, he was practically a magic turret.
However, Professor McGonagall was no pushover either, often responding to each move with equal skill, resulting in a close contest in Dumbledore's Headmaster's Office.
The portraits of past principals on the office wall were a huge encouragement to Professor McGonagall, with some saying they would smash Umbridge's head in.
"I'm sorry, Professor McGonagall, but because of your resistance to law enforcement, I have reason to suspect that you were also involved in Dumbledore's corruption."
"Therefore, according to the law, I have the right to use the Three Unforgivable Curses against your resistance to law enforcement."
Lester, his face grim, brandished his wand and shouted, "Avada Gnaw-the-Melon!"
A Killing Curse, swift as lightning, hurtled towards Professor McGonagall.
Professor McGonagall was shocked; she hadn't expected Umbridge to dare use the Killing Curse at Hogwarts!
There was no other way; Lester didn't want to use the Killing Curse, but he definitely couldn't take down McGonagall in a short time.
With Dumbledore's power, he'll surely be able to resolve the situation in Diagon Alley soon, and then I'll be in real danger.
"Avada Gnaw-the-Melon!"
"Avada Gnaw-the-Melon!"
"Avada Gnaw-the-Melon!"
Three deadly Killing Curse were unleashed from three different directions at Professor McGonagall, their green light causing even the portraits of past headmasters on the walls of the Headmaster's Office to pale in comparison.
Death, the powerful Professor McGonagall, felt death from these four Killing Curse.
"She's no match for me!"
Professor McGonagall was perfectly lucid. Watching Umbridge frantically unleashing the Killing Curse, she knew that if she lingered with this fat woman for even a few more seconds, she would surely die!
"Meow!"
Just as the Killing Curse was about to strike Professor McGonagall, a cat meowed.
Then, Professor McGonagall disappeared from the spot, replaced by a tabby cat that glared at Umbridge with obvious hostility.
Before Lester could react, Professor McGonagall, transformed into her Animagus form, hurtled toward the headmaster's through-window.
Whoosh!
With a loud bang of shattering glass, Professor McGonagall smashed through a window and jumped from the Headmaster's Office on the Seventh Floor.
"Damn it, Professor McGonagall, you can't die!"
Lester's expression changed, and he inwardly cried out in alarm; he certainly didn't want anything to happen to Professor McGonagall.
Even when he used the Killing Curse on her before, he knew that McGonagall had Animagus form; he was just trying to end the fight quickly.
Hurriedly arriving at the broken section, Lester looked down.
Professor McGonagall, who had just jumped out of the Headmaster's Office, performed a graceful spin in mid-air and then effortlessly grabbed a brick from the castle.
With a slight deceleration, it came to a steady stop on the bricks outside the castle.
Lester breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this, ignoring McGonagall hanging on the wall and turning his gaze to the Sorting Hat on the Headmaster's desk.
