I'll Soon Be a Homeowner
Wizards can become critically ill from hunger; don't think this is a joke, it's a cruel reality in the Wizarding World.
This brings us to the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, a law that Grindelwald sought to abolish throughout his life.
The law is quite simple: wizards are not allowed to use magic in the Muggle world. If they do, they will be wanted by the Ministry of Magic and, after a trial in Wizengamot, will be imprisoned in Azkaban.
This Statute of Secrecy was a joke to powerful Pure-blood wizard. Lester vividly remembered how Harry Potter, in his second year, turned a visiting guest into a human balloon that flew directly to the rooftop.
Even so, Harry Potter was not punished in any way; on the contrary, he was warmly received by the Minister for Magic.
Even Harry Potter, the spellcaster, was released so easily without going through the entire Wizengamot process.
What makes him so special? It's because Harry Potter is the Chosen One of the Wizarding World and the heir to Dumbledore's power, so no one dares to openly make things difficult for Harry Potter.
However, the Ministry of Magic later fell out with Dumbledore. In order to test Dumbledore's attitude, Harry Potter was dragged to Wizengamot for trial after only casting a Patronus Charm to protect himself.
Although Harry Potter's trial was a close call thanks to Dumbledore's influence, doesn't this demonstrate one thing?
That is, the laws of the Wizarding World were made by pure-bloods for Muggle-born, not to restrain themselves.
Therefore, even if these down-on-their-luck Muggle-born were about to starve, they still had to abide by the Statute of Secrecy. Otherwise, you might just use magic to obtain some food from the Muggle World, and a group of Auror over, control you, and throw you into Azkaban as a reward for your promotion and salary increase.
To survive, these Muggle wizards either abandon their dignity and work for pure-blood wizards for meager wages, or the bold get rich while the timid starve, becoming dark wizards like Lester Azkaban's underlings and making a living through shady means.
"These are my future backbone!" Lester looked at the dark, low, dilapidated houses in front of him, his heart surging with emotion.
If I were to rally them in the future and provide them with enough resources to survive, and get them all to take up their wands, my army would be more than capable of taking down Hogwarts.
Thinking this, Lester continued to venture deeper into the Knockturn Alley, and before he knew it, he had walked into a deserted alley.
This alley is also very characteristic of Knockturn Alley, with all sorts of garbage carelessly discarded inside. Lester could even see a pile of feces, whether human or animal, lying quietly in a corner.
Just as Lester was covering his nose and trying to get through quickly, a fierce and murderous voice suddenly rang out behind Lester.
"Avada Gnaw-the-Melon!!!"
In an instant, a blinding green light shot out from behind Lester, followed closely by two other red lights.
"Petrificus Totalus!"
"Stunning Spell!"
Faced with these three curses that suddenly attacked from behind, any ordinary wizard would not have been able to resist, let alone react, before being instantly killed by the Killing Curse.
However, Lester was no ordinary little wizard; he had spent many years in Azkaban, plus his overseas assignments to the Ministry of Magic.
Perhaps his understanding of magic isn't very deep right now, but his understanding of combat is exceptionally profound.
The instant the Killing Curse appeared behind him, Lester instinctively activated his Fire Shield Charm.
A ball of purple Fiendfyre instantly formed a massive wall of Fiendfyre, blocking Lester's path.
The three menacing spells struck the Fiendfyre Barrier, but before they could even cause a ripple, they vanished on the spot.
Three Pure-blood wizard: "..."
They stared blankly at the purple Fiendfyre Barrier in front of Lester, hardly believing their eyes.
Although they were alcoholics and part-time dark wizards, they still read newspapers regularly to keep up with current events.
The hottest figure in the Wizarding World right now is undoubtedly Samuel Hafiz, who set fire to the entire Ministry of Magic and then murdered the Auror Office owner. Following him is Sang Biao, the legendary Auror of Azkaban.
Because of their involvement in the underworld, they secretly held the powerful dark wizard Sang Biao in high esteem. As ardent fans, they naturally knew that Sang Biao's signature move was this purple Fiendfyre.
"Young master, could you please let us explain?"
Feeling the scorching heat around them, the three Pure-blood wizard trembled and wanted to beg for mercy.
Unfortunately, Lester couldn't be bothered to waste any more words with them; he had already anticipated the murder and robbery.
They want to kill him, and he certainly won't be so merciful as to let them go. However, as a normal person, Lester still has a brain.
If you don't cut the weeds at the root, they'll grow back in the spring. I definitely can't let these three pure-blooded dark wizards go. Not only that, I should eliminate them completely.
"Don't be nervous," Lester turned around and asked with a smile, "Do you have any relatives or friends in the Wizarding World?"
Based on Lester's years of experience reading online novels, if he killed the three of them, their scumbag friends and family would definitely seek revenge against him without thinking.
Although Lester wasn't afraid of their retaliation, why should he, Lester, be the one to be retaliated against? There's no such thing as guarding against thieves for a thousand days. Therefore, Lester had to inquire about their family situation so that he could eliminate them completely.
"My lord, spare us!" One of the purebloods, not understanding Lester's meaning, pleaded, "I'm willing to give you my ancestral home, I only hope you'll spare my life!"
It seems they simply killed Lester to seize the land title, and the pureblood added, "If you release me, I'll go with you to the Ministry of Magic to transfer the title."
Indeed, this Pure-blood wizard's reliance was that both people needed to be present to transfer the land deed, so he was confident that as long as he produced the land deed, Lester would spare his life.
"The land deed?!" Lester's eyes lit up. Wasn't this exactly what he needed?
To his shame, despite being the godfather of Azkaban and having a group of outlaws behind him, he was still penniless.
When I used to take prisoners to work at the Ministry of Magic, the only profitable part was checking whether those unfortunate wizards had any weapons.
The other prisoners were making a fortune, their mouths practically watering from the scramble, but Lester didn't participate at all.
As Azkaban's elder brother, how could he possibly have the nerve to personally steal it? Wouldn't that be too beneath him?
Thus, Lester missed out on his only profitable opportunity.
