Muggle-borns in Knockturn Alley
"It's time to check out Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley."
After the skinny, Auror left with the Muggle-born and the other pure-blood drunkards dispersed, Lester also descended the steps.
Regarding the Muggle-born who was framed, Lester stated that Azkaban welcomes him!
As everyone knows, there is only one prison in the entire Wizarding World of England, and that is the infamous Azkaban Prison.
Whether you're a petty thief or a murderer, you'll be imprisoned in Azkaban after the Wizengamot trial.
The only difference is whether you're imprisoned in the high-crime or low-crime section. After all, you can't just lock someone up in a high-crime section full of Dementor for selling fake medicine, right? Wouldn't that mean they'd never come out of Azkaban alive?
Then what's the point of laws in the Wizarding World? Since being imprisoned in Azkaban means certain death anyway, why not pull off a big heist before you die?
Isn't this forcing people to commit crimes?
Judging from what that Muggle-born just did, it was at most malicious assault; he could be released after a few months in Azkaban.
Anyway, Azkaban now under his control. Poor Muggle-born who was discriminated against by Pure-blood wizard and beaten up by the Wizarding World will all become Lester's propaganda targets!
When they decide to revolt, they can simply find a few skilled writers, embellish their stories of oppression, and publish them in the newspapers. This will definitely garner a lot of support from Muggle-born.
With that thought in mind, Lester hurried to the back of the Leaky Cauldron, the place where you enter Diagon Alley.
Following Tom's instructions, Lester carefully tapped the wall a few times with his wand.
The once impenetrable walls slowly receded to the sides, and a second later, an archway large enough for Lester to pass through appeared before him. This archway led to a cobblestone street that wound its way forward until it disappeared from sight.
Despite being somewhat prepared, Lester was still speechless with surprise at what he saw.
The bright sunlight shone on the pile of large pots outside the nearest shop. A sign hanging above them read: Large Pots - All Sizes - Copper, Brass, Ash.
Stepping through the archway, Lester set foot on the grounds of Diagon Alley for the first time.
To be honest, this was his first time visiting this bustling commercial street.
Like a country bumpkin who has never seen the world, he kept turning his head around, trying to take in everything at once.
Since his transmigration, he had lived in Lester, Azkaban, and was always curious about the Wizarding World.
Outside the shops and stalls, and among the shoppers, a very plump woman stood outside the pharmacy, shaking her head vigorously and shouting, "Lizard liver, seventeen silver coce per ounce..."
A low, soft hooting sound came from a dimly lit shop whose sign read: Owl-Rental Center.
The magnificent and magical sight dazzled Lester, and it took him two or three minutes to truly recover.
If Lester were to give Diagon Alley a single description, it would be: bustling and vibrant.
Yes, even on a weekday, Diagon Alley is still bustling with people, and every shop is packed with customers.
Wizards dressed in all sorts of costumes swaggered down the street, commenting on the goods in the shops.
The Muggle-born, dressed in ugly waiter's uniforms, busied themselves serving tea and food to the guests, yet they still couldn't escape a barrage of curses from the shopkeeper.
To experience firsthand the customs and culture of the Wizarding World, Lester tirelessly visited each shop.
Because of his gorgeous clothes, his outstanding appearance and extraordinary temperament, almost every shopkeeper treated him as a pure-blooded young master and treated him with great hospitality.
And so, Lester wandered alone through the Diagon Alley for at least an hour.
Unbeknownst to him, his actions nearly drove the three dark wizards who had been following him for almost an hour and a half to madness.
"What on earth is this little brat doing?"
That's right, they were the three Pure-blood wizard who had targeted Lester after Lester went upstairs.
Because of Lester's lavish attire, extravagant spending, and most importantly, the fact that Lester seemed to live alone, the three men couldn't help but harbor ill intentions.
So, when they discovered Lester heading to Diagon Alley, they picked up their wands and secretly followed him.
However, they found that this kid was like a country bumpkin who had never seen the world, and he wanted to visit almost every shop, which really frustrated them.
With Diagon Alley, if they dare to make a move Diagon Alley, unless they're surnamed Malfoy or Weasley, they'll definitely be in deep trouble.
However, their opportunity soon arrived, because they discovered that Lester, that brat, had inexplicably wandered into Knockturn Alley next door.
Unlike the bustling Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley is the complete opposite, a place teeming with all sorts of dark wizards, and where Dark Magic items are everywhere.
Lester's reason for going to Knockturn Alley was simple: he wanted to see the dark side of the Wizarding World.
If you want to understand a society, you can't just look at its good side; you also have to look at its dark side.
And the Knockturn Alley is precisely the dark side.
Sure enough, as soon as Lester stepped into Knockturn Alley, he felt the whole world had changed: black buildings, a gloomy environment, damp air, and pairs of greedy eyes lurking in the shadows.
"That's it?!" After taking only a few steps, Lester suddenly laughed dismissively.
He thought Knockturn Alley, that infamous place, was something special, but it turns out it's nothing special after all.
Although this place is known for its harsh environment, it's practically paradise compared to Azkaban, where I lived in Lester for most of the year.
However, Lester didn't rush to conclusions, because as he delved deeper, Lester expression became increasingly serious.
Based on rumors, Lester assumed that Knockturn Alley was mostly inhabited by dark wizards and outlaws. However, as he ventured deeper, he discovered many things he hadn't seen in Diagon Alley.
He finally understood why there were so many Muggle-born in Azkaban; it turned out that Muggle-born really couldn't survive in the Wizarding World.
Before even reaching the center of Knockturn Alley, just walking along Knockturn Alley outer edge, Lester saw rows of low-rise houses. Through the windows, he could see many Muggle-born lying directly on their beds, starving and on the verge of death.
