Wizards of the World, Unite!
Just as Lupin was hesitating about whether to run away now, Lester's mindset also changed with the system's prompts.
Lupin the Werewolf wizard, he's absolutely a genius!
Moreover, he's a talent who's fallen on very low social status; as long as you give him what he wants, he'll be at your beck and call.
It wasn't because Lupin was a member of the good guys faction that Lester wanted to recruit him; rather, Lupin was truly one of the few talented people in the Wizarding World.
Why are wizards in the Wizarding World so weak in combat these days? First, it's because of the Ministry of Magic's control, which doesn't allow Hogwarts to teach students combat magic. Second, there's a severe shortage of Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor.
After all, nobody wants to risk their life for a job, so apart from those with ulterior motives, very few people are willing to become professors of Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Lupin became the Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor for two simple reasons: first, to help his older brother Dumbledore; and second, because he was finding it difficult to make a living in the Wizarding World, he went to Hogwarts for a break.
Speaking of this, Lester has to mention Dumbledore, the greatest white wizard of the 20th century.
Other big shots who lead teams always treat their underlings to a life of luxury, promising them anything to win them over.
For example, the old Pure-blood wizard led by Voldemort, when Voldemort gained power, immediately gave his underlings benefits, allowing them to break the law, wantonly seize other people's property, and not be caught for committing crimes.
And then there are the high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Magic. After defeating Voldemort, they immediately bestowed titles and privileges upon the entire country. Every powerful family that contributed to the victory has now become a high-ranking official in the Ministry of Magic, and the whole of Wizengamot is filled with their people. Moreover, the war reparations from the old pure-bloods have all gone into their pockets.
But what about Dumbledore's faction, who actually contributed the most? Although they defeated Voldemort, Dumbledore, this kind-hearted man, didn't gain any benefits whatsoever.
You can be a good person if you want, after all, you have extraordinary magical power, everything else is just fluff.
But while you may have transcended worldly affairs, your underlings still need to eat.
Take the Weasley family, for example. They risked their lives to fight for you, but after you won, you didn't give them any benefits. Now, several members of the family are still living in the Burrow.
Then there's the Potter Family, which is the most tragic. Despite being a great contributor, he was fostered by his uncle and lived under someone else's roof.
If it's because of the magic left behind by Harry's mother that Harry had to be fostered at his mother's house, then as the most powerful person in the Wizarding World, why not arrange for several wizard bodyguards to live with him at his uncle's house? Would they still dare to bully Harry and treat this Harry like a servant?
At the very least, you could give his uncle's family some Galleon, claiming it's for Harry Potter's living expenses. If you gave them even a little money, his uncle wouldn't treat Harry like this.
As for the Werewolf wizard Lupin, his treatment goes without saying.
Even Voldemort, though he promised his Werewolf that they could bite Muggle at will, was still willing to give his men benefits, even though it wasn't a very ethical thing to do.
But Dumbledore? Even if you don't let Lupin bite people everywhere, can't you just give him some Galleon?
Lupin risked his life for you, and in the end, he's forced to wander the Wizarding World, living a life of darkness and misery, once the war is over. Isn't that a bit too much?
When the war ended, pure-blood Death Eaters like Malfoy were even bribing powerful families in the Ministry of Magic to survive. If Dumbledore stepped in and offered to sponsor Lupin, would the other Pure-blood families have dared to refuse?
Therefore, in Lester's eyes, Dumbledore was definitely a good person, but not a good leader.
Of course, this is all just talk, but it does reveal one problem: Dumbledore's faction is now the easiest to be turned.
This group of people followed Dumbledore, undoubtedly attracted by Dumbledore's ideals.
But no matter how wonderful Dumbledore's ideals were, could they be as advanced as his socialist thought?
Most importantly, as soon as the war ended, Dumbledore abandoned his former subordinates, resulting in them not doing very well now.
Especially Lupin, who doesn't even have a stable place to live. If he can fool Lupin into following him, he will definitely make a profit.
"Come in!" Lester greeted Lupin gently, looking up at him with a somewhat hesitant expression, then pushed open the Guild's door and went in first.
Seeing this, Lupin hesitated for a moment, but after thinking about it briefly, he decided to follow.
He was currently in the commercial district of Knockturn Alley. If he went forward, he would undoubtedly encounter other dark wizards, and he would certainly be killed.
But going out now is impossible, because those dark wizards clearly didn't chase after him because of Lester, and they must be waiting for him to come out now, so he will definitely be ambushed if he goes out.
The best course of action now is to follow this pure-blooded boy; perhaps he can find a glimmer of hope by staying with him.
Helpless, Lupin tightly gripped the Werewolf boy's small hand beside him and followed with a resolute expression.
Lupin cautiously stepped through the Guild hall, looking around at the decorations with some surprise, his little mind a bit bewildered.
In his mind, the shop should be gloomy and terrifying, with all sorts of scary Dark Magic props displayed on the counter, and a smiling but sinister old man staring at him.
As it turned out, the reality was very different from what Lupin had imagined.
The Guild's lobby on the first floor was incredibly spacious and bright, with eight large white lights neatly embedded in the ceiling, illuminating the entire Guild floor.
The floor was tiled, the spotless white tiles were tightly packed together, and the white light shining on them even reflected a white halo.
And that's not all; on the walls of the lobby on the first floor, there are also Guild slogans meticulously crafted by Lester.
Several large black characters were printed on the red fabric.
Long live the workers! Labor is the most glorious!
"Down with corrupt officials! Down with unscrupulous entrepreneurs!"
"Glory belongs to the workers, happiness belongs to the workers!"
Moreover, in the most prominent place in the hall, there was a huge red banner that read:
"Oppressed wizards of the world, unite!"
Lupin: "..."
He stared blankly at the inspiring slogans and banners in the hall, even though he had seen a bit of the world, he was still a little slow to react.
He had previously seen the Guild" written in large letters on the front of the shop and assumed that Lester's family was called Guild.
He was still wondering where this family had come from, but now, seeing the slogans inside, he was completely dumbfounded.
