Kurama was summoned through Su Yu’s system and became his companion after he acquired the Nine-Tailed Fox ability at six years old. Their symbiotic bond gradually strengthened his body, and they had already lived together for years before he entered Hogwarts 2 3 99 154.

Her ancestry remains unresolved. At Qingqiu Mountain, the Heavenly Nine-Tailed Fox recognizes a faint royal bloodline in Kurama, but Kurama cannot identify a clan such as Tushan or Yousu. Su Yu’s suggestion that she might be a wild fox from Fusang is speculation, not a confirmed origin 153 154.

The fox king determines that Kurama fulfills an ancient benefactor’s conditions: a fox who has transcended the Three Realms, stands outside the Five Elements, and possesses a trace of Celestial Fox Bloodline. The benefactor’s identity is withheld, though the fox king says he means no harm and that Su Yu may eventually meet him 154.
