Background
Qing Tianzhu was consumed by hatred for Itachi Uchiha and rejected Naruto's plea to return to Konoha. He regarded bonds and emotions as obstacles, claiming that his sole remaining bond was his hatred for Itachi. He attacked Naruto at Orochimaru's base, but Naruto overwhelmed him in Nine-Tails Chakra Mode and spared him at Sakura's request. 147
After deciding that Orochimaru had nothing left to teach him, Qing Tianzhu attempted to kill his former master. He despised Orochimaru's habit of manipulating others and rejected the idea of becoming his next vessel. 156 During his confrontation with Itachi, he used the atmospheric conditions created by Fire Release and Amaterasu to call down the natural-lightning technique Qilin. His chakra depletion allowed Orochimaru's Curse Mark influence to erupt, though Itachi sealed Orochimaru with the Totsuka Blade. 165
Doichi offered to restore Qing Tianzhu's strength if he agreed to return to Konoha after facing Itachi. Qing Tianzhu accepted, received healing and stronger chakra, then continued to confront the truth behind his brother and the Uchiha massacre. 162 180 Although deeply distrustful, he later accepted Itachi's eye transplant and achieved the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. 199 200
Doichi revealed that Qing Tianzhu carries Indra's chakra and has the potential to awaken the Rinnegan. Hagoromo later confirmed that he is Indra's reincarnation and chose to entrust power to both him and Naruto rather than repeating his past favoritism toward Asura. 172 247
Personality
Qing Tianzhu is proud, competitive, and intensely sensitive to being surpassed—especially by Naruto. He repeatedly challenged Naruto after gaining the Mangekyo Sharingan, losing each time while refusing to accept Naruto as his superior. 199 His resentment is rooted in betrayal, manipulation, and the belief that he has been treated as a tool by Orochimaru, Itachi, and others. 156 167
Despite his arrogance, he is observant and adaptable in battle. He quickly analyzes unfamiliar abilities, including the shared vision of Six Paths puppets and the mechanics of Madara's Limbo shadows. 218 249 His conduct gradually becomes more cooperative when treated fairly, though he retains a blunt, mocking manner toward allies. 191 221
His defining change comes when Kakashi orders him to kill him to deny Black Zetsu a hostage. Qing Tianzhu raises his sword but ultimately cannot strike his teacher, choosing personal bonds over ruthless pragmatism. 252
Abilities & Skills
Sharingan and Mangekyo Sharingan
Qing Tianzhu possesses the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan, which evolved from Three-Tomoe to Mangekyo and ultimately Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
- Uses the Sharingan to perceive chakra and track opponents' movements. 165
- Awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan in response to extreme humiliation and anger. 166
- Uses Amaterasu, though the black flames can be countered by superior Yin-Yang Release or dispelled by Kaguya. 168 257
- Uses Flame Release: Kagutsuchi to shape black flames, including into a sword capable of freeing him from the Ice World. 230 257
- Achieved the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan through transplantation and absorption of his original Mangekyo ocular power. 199 200
Susanoo
Qing Tianzhu can manifest Susanoo at skeletal, half-body, and Complete Body levels.
- Initially manifested a skeletal arm, though Doichi shattered it with a punch. 168
- Improved his control through repeated training and battlefield experience. 173 221
- Uses Susanoo's greatsword to pin enemies and its chakra bow to attack aerial targets. 221
- Uses Complete Body Susanoo to restrain tailed beasts, destroy falling meteorites, and shelter allies inside its forehead crystal. 223 251 252
- Can channel restrained Natural Energy through Susanoo, creating a Sage-augmented form. 237
Rinnegan and Six Paths Power
After receiving Hagoromo's power, Qing Tianzhu awakened a Six-Tomoe Rinnegan in his left eye.
- Perceives Madara's otherwise invisible Limbo shadows. 249
- Uses a space-time ability to teleport himself across the battlefield. 249
- Uses Amenotejikara to exchange positions with targets, including Kaguya and a Susanoo arrow. 256 257
- Infuses Chidori with Six Paths power to coordinate attacks with Naruto. 249
- Bears the crescent-shaped Six Paths mark granted by Hagoromo. 247
Lightning Release and Qilin
Qing Tianzhu is a skilled Lightning Release user with the tactical ability to weaponize natural conditions.
- Uses Chidori Sharp Spear in close and mid-range combat. 156 221
- Uses Chidori Stream during his clash with Naruto. 147
- Created thunderclouds by heating the atmosphere with Fire Release and exploiting Itachi's Amaterasu. 165
- Uses Qilin to guide natural lightning into a battlefield-destroying strike; the technique requires prepared thunderclouds but does not rely on his remaining chakra reserves at the moment of release. 165
Curse Mark
Orochimaru's Curse Mark enhanced Qing Tianzhu's chakra and physical power but left him vulnerable to Orochimaru's influence.
- Uses Curse Mark: One against Orochimaru and Curse Mark: Two during the battle with Itachi. 156 164
- Lost control when his chakra was depleted, allowing Orochimaru to emerge through the Curse Mark. 165
- Had six White Zetsu spores secretly embedded in his body; Orochimaru later removed them with Curse Mark chakra. 177
Tactical Analysis
Qing Tianzhu is an effective battlefield strategist despite his impulsive temperament.
- Identified the shared visual network used by the Six Paths Jinchūriki. 218
- Determined that Obito could likely operate only one Six Paths ability at a time because of the chakra burden of controlling six tailed beasts. 221
- Deduced that Limbo shadows periodically overlap with Madara's body and can only be damaged with Six Paths chakra. 249
- Coordinates effectively with Naruto, Kakashi, Hinata, and Neji during the Fourth Shinobi World War. 220 223 249
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Sky Katana — His primary sword; used in combat against Naruto, Orochimaru, Itachi, and Madara. 147 156 249
- Explosive-tag kunai — Used against Itachi during their battle. 166
- Six Paths crescent mark — A mark on his left palm received from Hagoromo. 247

- Kakashi Hatake — Teacher and battlefield comrade. Qing Tianzhu refuses Kakashi's order to kill him when Black Zetsu uses Kakashi as a hostage. 220 252
- Orochimaru — Former master who intended to take Qing Tianzhu's body. Qing Tianzhu turns against him, though Orochimaru later removes White Zetsu spores from his body. 156 177
- Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki — The Sage of Six Paths confirms Qing Tianzhu as Indra's reincarnation and grants him Six Paths power alongside Naruto. 247

Fourth Shinobi World War

After Hagoromo grants him Six Paths power, Qing Tianzhu awakens the Rinnegan and takes a leading analytical role against Madara's Limbo. He later fights Kaguya across multiple dimensions, repeatedly using Amenotejikara and Susanoo to create sealing opportunities. 247 249 256 257
Postwar Direction
After the Infinite Tsukuyomi is released, Doichi refuses Qing Tianzhu's attempt to pursue the Hokage position immediately, judging both him and Naruto too inexperienced. Qing Tianzhu instead embraces the ambition of peacefully unifying the Ninja World with Naruto's cooperation. 272
