"Where is Ravenclaw's Light Magic prodigy?"
Professor Flitwick was as excited as if he had been injected with adrenaline. His small stature and slightly disheveled appearance, coupled with his affected attempt to let loose while holding himself back, amused quite a few students.
"Professor Flitwick, it's her—Luna Lovegood. She has the Light Magic attribute." The student in charge of registration pointed at Luna Lovegood and called out.
Luna Lovegood had a head of golden hair. Though her face was pale, she remained calm in the face of everyone's attention and excitement. More interestingly, she gave off an odd, airy, drifting sort of aura.
Still, there was no denying that Luna Lovegood was a standard little beauty.
"Luna? The second-year Luna Jennifer?" Professor Flitwick was so happy that he became muddled over what the student had said.
"It's Luna Lovegood, Professor Flitwick!" the student told him again.
This time, Professor Flitwick heard clearly. He looked Luna Lovegood over and said happily, "What a beautiful little girl. Congratulations on becoming a Light Magic caster."
"Did you know? Last year, your senior, Luna Jennifer, was the only student Light Magic caster besides Professor Katelyle before you came along."
Luna Lovegood looked at Professor Flitwick, the head of her house, who was about the same height as she was. With her large eyes wide open, she patted his shoulder and smiled faintly. "Thank you, Professor Flitwick."
The excited Professor Flitwick suddenly froze. The smile on his face gradually vanished, and without a word, he turned and left.
Luna Lovegood stared at Professor Flitwick's lonely retreating back, somewhat bewildered.
"Well done, little Luna!" Hagrid suppressed his laughter, bent down to pat Luna Lovegood, said that, and turned to leave.
